A gamer discovered that Akkala Tower, one of the most dangerous towers inThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, houses a secret room that not too many players know about. The gamer then recorded a video to show otherBreath of the Wildplayers how to reach the secret room and showed what waited for them inside it.
As Nintendo prepares to officially launchTears of the Kingdomthis weekend, many players have gone back to playing or finishingBreath of the Wildas a way to get prepared for the next entry inThe Legend of Zeldaseries. Between replaying the game, finishing the DLC, orwatching a story recapthat covers the main details, there are ways for players to pass the time until the sequel’s arrival. During a recent replay ofBreath of the Wild, one gamer wanted to show that there are still secrets worth looking out for.

On Reddit, a user named Banana97286 posted a 29-second video of their recent excursion in Akkala Tower on theBreath of the Wildsubreddit. From the northwest side of the Akkala Citadel Ruins, Banana97286 trekked a bit to the south before coming across two large, wooden crates tucked in a corner, as a Bokoblin looked to take them down with their arrows. However,with the Master Sword in hand, the OP used a charged attack to break the crates and reveal a hole in the wall to crouch through. On the other side is the aforementioned secret room, which contained some fire arrows in a wooden chest, and some pottery for Link to break.
Thankfully, though the room is located in Akkala, reaching it does not requireclimbing Akkala Tower. But, unlocking the teleport point beforehand should make finding this secret slightly easier. The video from Banana97286 received over 1.5k upvotes on theBreath of the Wildsubreddit in just under a day. In the comments, some users stated that they either did not know about the room itself while others stated they did not know that large wooden crates could be broken with one-handed swords. A few other comments shared other neat tricks in exchange for knowledge about this secret and hoped that the Akkala Citadel Ruins would return inTears of the Kingdomin some capacity.
Nevertheless, the secret room of Akkala Tower is just one of theunderrated features inBreath of the Wildthat players have uncovered over the years. Only time will tell what new secrets there will be to uncover onceTears of the Kingdomarrives.
