InYakuza:Like a Dragon, primary protagonist and party leader Ichiban Kasuga has a unique Personality system, all six facets of which can be improved to help Ichiban in and out of combat.
Though the six Personality traits can beimproved through other minigames, like Part-Time Hero requests, going to the Ounabara Vocational School is the fastest way to increase Kasuga’s Personality. Ounabara Vocational School Location & Side Story
The Ounabara Vocational School can be found in Isezaki Ijincho, in East Jinnai Station on the corner of Daikokuten Street and Breakwater Drive. The easiest way to get there is, as soon as Ichiban and the gang can free roam in Chapter 4, head all the way east along the main highway (Yokohama Boulevard), then head north.
The Ounabara Vocational School cannot be accessed until players complete a Side Story that begins just outside – look for a conspicuously foreign, blonde and blue-eyed American standing on the side of the road to begin “Fast Times at Ounabara.” Once this brief, and hilarious, introduction to the school is complete, players can take classes to improve fascets of Ichiban’s personality.
What Is The Like A Dragon Vocational School For?
By the time Ichiban gets out of prison,he’s aged past the timemost go to school to educate themselves. Luckily, the Vocational School can help him prove his knowledge with a variety of Certifications.
After finishing “Fast Times at Ounabara”, players will be offered their first test: Sports Proficiency 2. This is the only free test Ichiban can take at Ounabara, all others cost either 30,000 Yen or 50,000 Yen, and sometimes up to 100,000 Yen for the Special (and Final) exams. This money is not refunded if the test is failed.]
All tests consist of five questions, chosen at random from a list of a possible ten. The questions won’t repeat in the same test, but can show up again if you fail. If you get at least three out of five questions correct, congratulations – Ichiban will have passed the test! But less than three correct will be a fail, and it will need to be retaken to earn its Personality boost.
There are six facets of Ichiban’s personality, whichhelp the player in and out of combatin a variety of ways. For example, Ichiban can’t get past a group of gangsters without a high Confidence score, and his Charisma helps some special attacks land. Passion improves other special attacks, while Style, Intellect, and Kindness unlock jobs, dialogue options, and new characters.
Each test rewards a boost to one (or a few) of these Personality traits, but only if Ichiban passes it. Re-taking a test won’t grant any Personality boosts, but it can befun to test your own knowledge.

These 20 categories, of a total 21, make up the vast majority of the Certificates that Ichiban can acquire at the Ounabara Vocational School inYakuza:Like A Dragon. Each category listed below displays keywords and basic subjects for all ten possible questions for each test, as well as each question’s answer. Scroll down to the Certificate you want to get start the test in-game, and match the keywords of each question with the answers listed.
There is one category that is not included, and that’s the Ounabara Proficiency exam – the final exam available at Ounubara Vocational School. This only unlocks after Ichiban completes all 20 other Certificates by passing all 20 other tests – the test itself is made up of a random assortment of questions from the other tests, so be ready to alt-tab and search this page forthe answers you need.
