Xbox continues to make regular announcements regarding upcoming titles planned for Xbox Game Pass, including new day one releases. Outside these regular announcements, there are rare surprise announcements from developers themselves, another of which has recently cropped up. Yaza Games, which is currently working on strategy gameInkulinati, announced that it will be bringing it toXbox Game Passas a day one release when it’s eventually ready.The latest game planned to launch on Xbox Game Pass isInkulinati, a strategy game based on ink art from medieval manuscripts. Developer Yaza Games made the announcement on Twitter with a short message to its community reading, “Rejoice Inkulinati Apprentices!” It was also confirmed thatInkulinatiwill be coming to all Xbox Game Pass platforms. Support for Xbox Game Pass on both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S,Xbox Game Pass for PC, and Xbox Game Pass for cloud will all be offered.RELATED:Xbox Cloud Gaming Could Be Getting Elden Ring and GTA 5To go into more detail about whatInkulinatiis, players will take control of medieval animals wielding armor, swords, bows and arrows, and more. They’ll then use these units, each with their own abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, to wage battles of unique makeup. Not only willInkulinatihave its own single-player campaign, where players take on figures including Death andDante Alighieriin battle, but there will also be local PvP multiplayer.
The only downside of today’s announcement thatInkulinatiis going to be released on Xbox Game Pass is that the game currently doesn’t have a release window.Inkulinatidoes have 2022 listed on its Steam profile, but it’s unclear if that remains accurate. One of the latest trailers forInkulinatilists the release window as “This Century,” for example. In positive news, the latest production update forInkulinatisays that the game is about ready to go gold. Perhaps 2022 is still in the cards.
WhileInkulinatimay not be arriving in August, there’s already a solid line-up of games planned for Xbox Game Pass this month.Ghost Recon: Wildlands,Shenzhen I/O,Turbo Golf Racing, andTwo Point Campushave already launched on the service.Cooking Simulatorand several PC-only additions remain through the rest of August.
