Summary
The entirety of theFalloutfranchise is currently on sale, having been treated to some major discounts on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation Store, among other platforms. The newly introduced offers are meant to commemorate the recent debut of Amazon’sFallouttelevision series.
The long-awaited TV adaptation was released as a Prime Video exclusive on April 10. Both Amazon and Bethesda have been running a variety of unique promotions in the run-up to its launch, ranging fromextremely limitedFallout-themed burger mealsto more conventional freebies.

Another complementary effort has now arrived in the form of a massive sale encompassing the entirety of theFalloutfranchise, which went live over the second weekend of April 2024. Thanks to the newly debuted promo, every series entry available on Steam and the Xbox Store is currently available at 75% off. The only exception isFallout 76, which can presently be picked up at 80% off, or $7.99. That particular offer also extends to the PlayStation Store, as does the 75% discount on the base edition ofFallout 4.
Despite not being a Microsoft-owned storefront, Steam is actually the biggest beneficiary of the April sale. That’s largely because it is the only platform with access to the entirety of the iconic franchise, not accounting for thelong-forgotten 2004 console exclusiveFallout: Brotherhood of Steel. While GOG isn’t far behind in terms of inventory, the only deal that made its way to the CD Projekt-owned storefront is the 75% discount on the Game of the Year Edition ofFallout 4.Fallout 3andNew Vegasare also currently available at reduced prices from GOG, but their discounts only amount to 67% as opposed to Steam’s 75%.

Even before this sale went live, the entire franchise was blowing up in popularity following the release of its critically acclaimed TV adaptation. The latest two entries in the series have unsurprisingly attracted the most attention from the ongoing popularity boost, as tens of thousands of players have returned to them over the weekend on PC alone, according to public data available via Valve’s Steam API.
Fallout
Fallout is a post-apocalyptic RPG franchise created by Interplay Entertainment and developed by Black Isle Studios, before Bethesda Softworks took over the IP in 2004. The series features a retrofuturistic style following a nuclear war that devastated the game’s world. Players typically inhabit a Vault Dweller, someone who remained safe in an underground shelter, appearing in the post-apocalyptic world where a problem needs to be solved. While the older games were more tactical RPGs, Fallout 3 took the franchise into the first person shooter genre, while also retaining the RPG elements.
