WWE clearly created this theme to benefit from the fame andname value of rapper Post Malone.The popular musician can encourage his fan base to get a bit more interested in trying a game that allows him to fight wrestlers in the squared circle.WWE 2K24worked on finding any names even slightly associated with music-related gimmicks to pair with Malone for a deeper pack.
The rating for Malone was released early due to him filming a video to help hype the pack’s release date. Malone was asked what his ideal rating would be before receiving the official rating. An unrealistic answer of 99 and a humorous answer of 69 were the two ratings that Malone felt most comfortable with.WWE 2K24gave him a low 69 rating,but Malone was pleased knowing he could have a good laugh at the number.
Celebrity characters in WWE have ratings across the board in the long history of wrestling video games. Recent years have seen Bad Bunny rated a 78 in this year’s game and Machine Gun Kelly rated 80 inWWE 2K22for higher musician ratings. However, Post has not taken part in physical WWE matches or segments like those names.

Honky Tonk Man is the biggest singles wrestling star of the wrestlersin the Post Malone & Friends DLC pack. The legendary wrestler was a villain character parodying Elvis Presley by playing music and talking down to fans before matches in the 1980s. WWE’s Gunther recently just broke Honky Tonk Man’s record for the longest Intercontinental Championship reign after he held said record for over three decades.
Jimmy Hart was the manager of Honky Tonk Man during his best days in WWE, and the decision was made to include them together in the same pack.Other icons like Hulk Hogan and Bret Hartwere managed by Jimmy, but his association with Honky Tonk Man made more sense to get included as a manager character in this DLC pack.

Sensational Sherri thrived in both wrestling and managing roles to have her legendary career honored in the video game. The main reason for Sherri’s inclusion in this specific pack was her short-lived time as a love interest for Honky Tonk Man. Peggy Sue was the name used for this short run, but her general accolades as Sensational Sherri make her a wrestler in this game.
All three performers have been in video games of WWE’s past. Honky Tonk Man had ratings of 78 inWWE 2K16and 80 inWWE 2K17. A similar rating of 79 would make sense today compared to other legends of the same tier. Martel will likely have a rating in the high-70s to low-80s in the upcoming pack when comparingher to other women’s wrestling legends. Hart will suffer from being a manager character and should have a rating in the 60s, like the standard set with names like Paul Heyman or Bobby Heenan.
The Headbangers Adding New Legends To WWE 2K Roster
The previous three names all have past appearances inWWE 2Kgames to make it easier to forecast their ratings. Fans were most surprised about the Headbangers tag team getting included in this DLC pack. WWE used Mosh and Thrasher as a tag team in the late 1990s by playing a gimmick of metal heads immersed in the music culture of the time.
The DLC pack will see the Headbangers in their first official WWE console video gamesinceWWF WrestleMania 2000in 1999. WWE signing former stars to “legends contracts” opens opportunities for names that have been missing for years to re-appear in video games.
