Summary
World of Warcraftplayers have discovered a special Worgen-only Hearthstone toy and a cosmetic item inspired by Lord Godfrey hidden in the new Reclaiming Gilneas questline. These special collectibles can be obtained in the revamped version of Gilneas added inWorld of WarcraftPatch 10.2.5.
Seeds of Renewal, thefirstWorld of Warcraftpatch of 2024, was just recently released, bringing with it new features like worldwide Dragonriding and Follower Dungeons, as well as severalDragonflightepilogues. One of these new storylines is called Reclaiming Gilneas, a questline that finally lets the Worgen get their home back after it was lost inCataclysm. Doing so rewards players with the Gilnean Noble’s Suit transmog set and the Reins of the Gilnean Prowler mount.

However, someWorld of Warcraftfans have discovered a couple of extra secretshidden in the Reclaiming Gilneas questline. The first is a toy called Tess’s Peacebloom. This special item allows Worgen to teleport directly to Gilneas City on a special 30-minute cooldown separate from their Hearthstone. Though only usable by Worgen, all Alliance players can pick up this toy after completing the Reclaiming Gilneas questline.
How To Get the Gilneas Hearthstone Toy in WoW
The second secret is a cosmetic item players have been hoping to get for over a decade.Lord Godfrey’s Old Spectaclesare a head transmog item reminiscent of the iconic shades of Ozzy Osbourne. Originally worn by the eponymous villain fromCataclysm, this item can be found in the lakes and canals around Gilneas City via the Fishing profession. Characters of both factions and any class can acquire and use this cosmetic, and there does not seem to be a skill level requirement to fish up the glasses, as fans with the profession both untrained and maxed out have acquired it in less than an hour, according to reports from players on Wowhead.
Unfortunately, fans were not completely satisfied with the Reclaiming Gilneas questline as a whole. While there was some great dialogue and several touching moments, and themakeover to theWorld of Warcraftcity itselfis spectacular, some have criticized the questline for being too short, and too focused on Gilneas and not the Worgen themselves. Others were not happy about the involvement of Calia Menethil and the Forsaken, and thought the Scarlet Crusade being the antagonists was unsatisfying. At the very least, these special rewards are a silver lining to players who disliked the story itself.
