Every newWayfinderplayer will be able to find a character that suits their preferred play style. Whether it’s sitting back and popping a few heads with Silo, orsneaking up on enemiesfor a surprise attack as Niss, there’s plenty of choice here. One of the most fun Wayfinders to play, due to the sheer amount of damage she can dish out, is Senja.

Senja was once the fiercest and mostidolized gladiatorsof her time, clobbering anyone who stood in her way thanks to her giant spiky arm and Colossus greatsword. While she may no longer be fighting in the Imperial Arena, Senja still dedicates eachof her kills to her adoring fans, which actually feeds into her gameplay. Senja is all about dealing tons of damage thanks to her abilities. If players want to make her as effective as possible, they should know which of her abilities are most reliable when it comes to handling the many monsters that reside in the Highlands.

Senja Provoking Two Enemies

5Gain Favor

Gain Favor may be Senja’s only support ability, but it cansave an entire teamwhen used at the right time. When Senja charges up Gain Favor, all enemies within a small radius will turn their attention to her, even if they were in the middle of attacking an ally. It can be great for drawing fire away from team members who might be a little low on HP.

Gain Favor also provides a small buff to Senja’s allies in the form of boosted attack and defense. While this is certainly a welcome addition to the ability, it’s fairly hard to notice. Because Gain Favor needs to be charged up, it does leave Senja vulnerable for a few seconds, which can make it a little risky when facing ahorde of enemies. The limited radius is also quite a big drawback.

4Lightning Grasp

When using Lightning Grasp, Senja takes a page out ofScorpion’s book fromMortal Kombat, pulling enemies towards her so that she can get right into the action. The distance of the Lightning Grasp is actually very long, and as long as enemies are huddled together, Senja can even snatch multiple enemies at once.

Lightning Grasp can be used as a quick save to keep enemies away from vulnerable allies, but the biggest issue is that it won’t stun enemies after pulling them. Because of this, things can go sideways quickly if Senja uses the ability while low on HP, since enemies can just pile on their attacks once they have been dragged in. Lightning Grasp is stilla ton of fun to useand fits into Senja’s attention-craving personality, but it’s most effective when used alongside some of Senja’s more powerful abilities.

3Gladiator Pummel

While Gladiator Pummel is Senja’s primary way of dealing damage aside from her sword attacks, it can be a little tricky to get the hang of, due to how long it can be charged up for. After the initial attack, Senja will have a chance to showboat. This will enhance the power of her next punch, making it a devastating offensive tool.

Knowing when to fully showboat and when to just let off a quick punch is the key to mastering this ability. Showboating every time is never recommended. Because of how long the animation is, it can leave Senja wide open for multiple seconds, which is worrying ina fast-paced game likeWayfinder. It’s therefore much better to charge up her swing when dealing with enemies with larger health pools who are proving to be a little more stubborn. It can also be great for bosses who can be difficult to pin down because of their quick movements, such as The Hand Rejoined.

2Grand Finale

When using Grand Finale, Senja delivers a final blow to her enemy by taking the form of a lightning spear before then finishing them off with an almighty punch. This ability can be absolutely devastating fortough bosses. While the ability does focus on attacking a single enemy, it still has a fairly large AOE that comes from the explosion of the punch. This means it can easily wipe out small groups of enemies with a single attack, as long as the player times the ability well.

Alongside the extremely long range which allows Senja to navigate across the battlefield quickly, there’s also the added bonus of Senja’s Crowd Favor being filled up after the ability has been pulled off. This earns her more attack damage and ability power. It doesn’t matter what enemy Senja is aiming at when using Grand Finale. Whether it’s a lowly Herald or themenacing Broodmother, they’ll always crumble beneath the might of such an overwhelming attack coming their way.

1Crowd Favorite

It may be Senja’s passive ability, but in many ways, her entire character revolves around Crowd Favorite. It allows her to stack up an incredible amount of damage, turning her into the intimidatingclose-combat brawlerthat made her so well known in the first place. The showboating ability added as part of Crowd Favorite is an incredibly important component of Senja’s gameplay. Most importantly, showboating will increase the Crowd’s Favor, boosting Senja’s attack damage.

This means that if players focus on showboating as much as possible when using abilities such as Gladiator Pummel, they’ll eventually turn Senja into an absolute powerhouse. Her attack and ability damage stats can dwarf those of her allies. It’s easy to forget about Crowd Favorite since it doesn’t need to be manually activated, despite being the most essential part of her character.
