Last week,Call of Duty: Warzoneremoved all vehicles from the game after fans discovered a game-breaking bug that would kick players from lobbies. As of today’s playlist update, vehicles have returned to the game forWarzonefans with no sign of the unique bug.

The update was bundled into the weekly playlist update patching the small, yetgame-breaking, vehicle bug. The fast reaction to this problem was immediately noticed by fans as Activision and Infinity Ward wasted no time in repairing the problem.

Originally, the bug would cause entireWarzonegames to freezeafter a vehicle was driven to a very specific location on the edge of the map. This would cause the entire game to crash and kick every player from the map. Players abused this glitch repeatedly, creating an immediate problem for the game’s community. After several matches were ruined, Infinity Ward stepped in and removed all vehicles from the game as a temporary fix until it could determine the root cause of the problem. Now, a week later, vehicles have returned, allowing fans access to their favorite transportation options once again.

Theshort term solution of removingWarzonevehicles, although effective, forced players to walk across the huge map of Verdansk. This could become easily troublesome with the circle closing in, as fans may have had to dead sprint towards the safe zone. This cuts down on player loot times and heightens the chance of being caught mid-run, but at leastWarzonewasn’t freezing.

Based on the fix, it seems that players driving past the map border should no longer cause the map to freeze. This allows vehicles to be added back safely without causing any trouble for other players. Although fans are happy to see the return of vehicles, many fans wonder how any of the cars could have caused such a massive problem in the first place.Vehicles are such a minor part ofWarzonethat for them to induce such a major glitch is improbable, to say the least.

Still, the game is back to normal, and Infinity Ward, alongsideWarzone’scommunity, can return to normal operations. With the new playlist being added fans now have even more opportunities on the battlefield with different game modes to choose from. Many fans were impressed with the fast reaction time of the development team as well as grateful that the wait for a fix was reasonable.
