Valkyrie Elysiumis the most recent addition to theValkyrie Profileseries, andfans have waited a long time for its release. It follows the traditional Norse mythology background, with characters interacting with the gods through the end of days. Players will take on the role of a Valkyrie entrusted with the task of preventing the world below from meeting its final demise. She will embark on a vast journey, battling the most powerful foes in search of answers.

One of the key aspects ofValkyrie Elysiumis choosing the right skills. There are three types of skill trees in the game: Attack, Defend, and Support. Each skill tree has essential skills the player will need to ensure their Valkyrie is at her most powerful. They will need to progress up the treesto reach the best skillsand should do this as quickly as possible to receive the benefits they offer. Some of these skills may take a lot of work to unlock, but the rewards will be worth the effort. These are the skills that should be made a priority and unlocked as soon as possible.
4Double Jump
The Valkyrie can be limited in her exploration abilities when she first sets out on her journey. Because of this, players should focus on unlocking the support skill Double Jump. This will allow her to extend her jump to cross things like broken bridges, going further into areas than she was able to before unlocking this skill.

Double Jump requires 50 Magic Gems and 50 Violet Gems. It also has a 5 CP cost. Because it’s one of the first skills players can obtain at thebeginning stages of the game, it is already unlocked and just needs the required parts. Players can also use Double Jump in combination with other attacks to form the perfect aerial assaults on enemies. What makes it even easier is that they will only need to use two buttons to accomplish this, making this skill one of the best to have for both offensive and exploration needs. However, players will find it most beneficial in battles whencombined with the right weapons.
3Ranged Attack
Ranged Attack allows the Valkyrie to perform a dash attack while blocking. Players will need to be a certain distance from their target to activate this skill. This attack is beneficial for reaching enemies that are farther away and causing damage that the Valkyrie cannot easily protect herself from without getting closer and finishing them off.
To unlock this skill, players must learn Magic Boost 1. Then, Ranged Attack requires 20 CP, 30 Yellow Souls, 40 Emerald Gems, 200 Magic Gems, and 200 Violet Gems. As this is an effective attack that will help protect the Valkyrie in her battles, it should be unlocked as soon as possible. Unlike the Soul Chain, the Valkyrie is not vulnerable while using this skill, making it a wiser choice in many situations. As she is defending herself while using Ranged Attack, the Valkyrie will not be interrupted during movement should she be struck as she would be during Soul Chain.
2Precision Guard
On the defensive side, Precision Guard is the skill players need to focus on unlocking. Despite the Valkyrie’s agility, players cannot rely on dodging alone to get her successfully through a battle. Blocking is essential at certain times and can be highly effective when Precision Guard is involved. When activated, this skill causes the battlefield to go into slow-motion, allowing the Valkyrie to follow up her block with an attack immediately.

To unlock Precision Guard, players must first learn Quick Evade followed by Damage Dampener 1. Then they must supply 20 CP, 30 Yellow Souls, 40 Emerald Gems, 200 Magic Gems, and 200 Violet Gems. The special attack following activation of this skill makes it an essential asset to have for any player’s arsenal of skills.
1Soul Steal
Soul Steal is an attack skill that allows players to refill their Soul Gauge. Performing the skill creates a soul orb that partially refills the gauge, which is the most useful whensummoning multiple Einherjar simultaneously, as it will offset the rapid depletion of the gauge. This skill is not available immediately and must be worked toward. Still, players should prioritize unlocking it as soon as possible in the early game to make their Valkyrie as powerful as possible.
Typically, players would have to slowly defeat enemies to replenish their Soul Gauge, but implementing Soul Steal will efficiently replace this practice. This will allow for all Einherjar to quickly be resummoned instead of waiting an extended period for the gauge to refill. Combining Soul Steal with combinations will continuously keep the Soul Gauge filled, allowingthe Einherjar to be presenton the battlefield constantly. The Valkyrie will be unstoppable. While it is essential to unlock this as soon as possible,it will take some timeas they must learn several skills first. Once they have achieved that, this skill requires 30 CP, 100 Yellow Souls, 100 Scarlet Flame Gems, 800 Magic Gems, and 800 Violet Gems.
