Prior to the weekend,Twitchstreamer xQc had an exciting announcement to share with his audience. He confirmed that he was planning to start two podcasts, with one of them being with fellowTwitchstreamer Pokimane. Before dedicating to it, however, xQc and Pokimane were planning to do a test session, assumedly to see if the two meshed well together. Unfortunately, things didn’t go to plan. xQc forgot he was supposed to record a podcast with Pokimane.

In his initial announcement regarding the podcast, xQc said that he’d be recording the trial podcast withPokimanein the next week. An exact date wasn’t shared at the time. It wasn’t until some of Pokimane’s fans asked her what was going on with the podcast while she was streaming that the truth about the situation came out. “I think [xQc] forgot that today was Saturday,” is how Pokimane described the situation, making clear that the podcast wasn’t happening as planned.

Pokimane confirms that the podcast was supposed to be recorded on Saturday, butxQcmissed the time. “Maybe he thought I meant next Saturday?” Pokimane offers up as a potential excuse for xQc missing the recording time. “I really think he just lost track of the days, which happens. It’s happened to me.” Pokiman’s explanation for xQc’s absence is likely accurate, as the Twitch streamer is well known for being absentminded while they’re focused on playing a game or interacting with their community.

Still, it begs the question of whether xQc is really ready to startrecording podcasts with Pokimaneor anyone else. Maybe he just needs some experience so he can establish a routine, but if Saturday’s recording session was supposed to be a trial session, it’s inarguable that it was a failed trial. Whether the two mesh well in conversation matters a bit less than whether both parties show up to record.

That doesn’t mean thatxQc and Pokimanewon’t try and schedule another date for their podcast recording trial, though. Pokimane doesn’t explicitly state that she’ll try arranging a new date for the podcast, but she does seem somewhat sympathetic for xQc missing the podcast, so perhaps she’ll give him another chance. It is a great opportunity and has the potential to be very successful if they can make it work.

The situation is hilarious given the context that xQc previously framed the situation in, as xQc is going so far as preparing a full studio for recording podcasts. While Saturday’s session was going to be online, xQc missing the first recording for something he’s very clearly thought about a lot and invested a lot into is very xQc. Here’s hoping the podcast still happens just for xQc and Pokimane’s respective fans onTwitch.
