Gearbox Software just releasedTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, the anticipatedBorderlandsspin-off title that shares some gameplay similarities and characters. TwoTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsplayers recently noticed an interesting detail about the game’s spellcasting when the Red and Blue Meteor spells are used against a Skeleton Army at the exact same time.
Reddit user Firehornet117 posted a clip from their co-op adventure with a friend in the world ofTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsas they quest inBrighthoof, one of the early areas in the RPG. Fighting a swarm of enemies, these two players coincidentally cast similar spells at the same time to create a visual spectacle while defeating the Skeleton Army around them. Going above showing simply Firehornet117’s perspective of the incident, their clip shows both players' point-of-view as if they were playing split-screen despite playingTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsthrough online co-op.

Both angles of Firehornet117’s clip show the meteor fall from the sky with a combination of red and blue which explodes on contact with shades of both colors and some orange mixed in. The defeated skeleton is flung backward from the combined meteoric impact, which may have been overkill for the underpoweredTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsenemy. The splash ofelemental damagecaused by the crashing meteors damages things in a local area, which is reflected from the perspective of both players as one of the player’s shields takes significant damage from being in closer proximity to the blast and the other is barely phased.
Firehornet117’s video is a showcase for the Brr-Zerker character inTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsas one player slays an enemy with a Death Saver while another skeleton falls to theBrr-Zerker classskill Dreadwind which inflicts critical damage to all nearby enemies. The Brr-Zerker’s ally is a Graveborn that fires a crossbow at their enemies without utilizing a class ability as its cooldown finishes. It seems like a coincidence when the twoTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsplayers perform a Meteor spell at the same time, but Firehornet117 has confirmed that the two players tried to time this move correctly for a few hours.
Although the two meteors blend together quite well in Firehornet117’sTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsclip, it’s currently unclear whether this effect was intended by Gearbox or if it’s a pleasant coincidence. Since gaining traction, Firehornet117’s video has caused manyTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsplayers to marvel at the various lights and colors created by the two different meteors colliding with the obliterated enemy. OneTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsfan pointed out to Firehornet117 that playing the game as theSpellshot classopens up more potential for seeing how different spells interact with each other.
Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
