One Piecefans have been getting one big piece of news after another, with the new trailer for the upcomingOne Piece Film: Redhaving recently dropped. The trailer was enough to hype up series fans as the release date of the movie is not far away. The newOne Piecemovie is set to be released in Japan on Jul 12, 2025.

The trailer for the movie was short, but it confirmed several new things and also gave fans an idea of what to expect come August. With the trailer being so fast-paced, it’s easy to miss some of the more minor details, the most notable of which can be found below.
6Uta and Luffy Know Each Other
After the first trailer, there was a lot of speculation as to how Luffy would react when he meets Uta, but in the most recent trailer, it was revealed that Uta and Luffy have known each other since they were kids. The trailer shows Uta and Luffy talking to each other in Foosha Village.
In the flashback, Luffy does not have the scar under his eye, which he made onpurpose to impress Shanks, so the two must have met before that specific incident. Also, it seems like Uta didn’t quite remember Luffy as it took her a few seconds to find out who the person in front of her was. The two of them clearly haven’t seen each other in a very long time, so it will be interesting to see their interaction.
5Uta’s Possible Devil Fruit
Uta is Shanks' daughter but it’s unknown who her mother is at this time. In the trailer, Uta said that there will be peace throughout the world as long as she sings. There were several shots of Uta releasing some kind of strings, which resemble music staves. Her devil fruit is similar toDoflamingo’s Ito Ito no Mi, which allowed him to manipulate strings.

Also, in the trailer, some pirates tried to threaten Uta, but as soon as she started to sing these pirates stepped back in disbelief. There is a strong possibility that Uta’s devil fruit might be linked to music. Fans have already seen Apoo and his Oto Oto no Mi, which allows him to turn parts of his body into musical instruments, so Uta’s devil fruit will have to be different from his.
4Thousand Sunny Is A Humanoid
This was a very cute surprise for allOne Piecefans. After the first trailer for the movie was released, the official accounts forOne Piecerevealed new artwork, one of which was a sketch of Thousand Sunny as a humanoid.
It would be fair to say that Thousand Sunny will form an extremely adorable duo with Chopper. Also, it is unknown how Thousand Sunny turns into a living being, so, for this particular answer, fans will have to wait for the release of the movie.
3Jimbei’s First Movie As An Official Straw Hat
Luffy asked Jimbei to join the crew all the way back on Fish-Man Island, but the former Warlord deferred taking his place on the crew. Duringthe Whole Cake Island arc, it was shown that Jimbei renounced his loyalty to Big Mom as he had finally made up his mind that he would be joining the Straw Hat Pirates.

Sadly, Jimbei could not join the crew yet again as he had to stay behind with the Sun Pirates to let the Straw Hats escape from the Big Mom Pirates. He finally joined the crew during the Wano Country arc, where he fought against Who’s Who of the Beasts Pirates. Jimbei will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to the crew andOne Piece Film: Redwill be his first movie as a member of the Straw Hat Pirates.
2Chopper and Usopp Are Big Fans Of Uta
Usopp and Chopper were super excited to meet Uta as she is a global superstar. Chopper, in particular, was happy to see Uta as he had tears in his eyes as he screamed her name.
The Straw Hat duo were seen talking to Luffy in the trailer and enquiring about how he knew Uta, to which Luffy replied that she is Shanks' daughter. Luffy’s responseshocked the Straw Hatsas they could not believe that a global superstar like Uta would be the daughter of one of the most infamous pirates in the world.
1Uta Seems To Have A Big Plan
At the beginning of thetrailer forOne Piece Film: Red, Uta says that she wants to build an era of happiness for everyone. Considering the current condition of the world, though, it is obvious that it won’t be easy to achieve such a thing without making sacrifices.
Uta believes that her singing is the key to changing the world, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume that Uta has some kind of devil fruit that affects those who listen to her. Another interesting detail that some fans noted in the trailer was Luffy desperately trying to reach Uta. It seemed like he was trying to stop Uta from doing something dangerous. Judging by this, Uta may plan to sacrifice herself to make the world a better place.
