Genshin Impact’s Venti was one of the first characters available for players to wish for when the game first launched. His character has remained a viable option after all that time, even if his applications have been narrowed down to a niche group. With many other Anemo supports, it’s only natural that certain characters excel in certain places. However,Genshin Impacthas done its best to ensure that old characters are still usable even as the game changes and updates.
Venti is a top-tier crowd control unit whose burst allows him to pull in smaller enemies and swirl an element. Doing this, he can allow other characters to take the field and go crazy withGenshin Impact’s elemental reactions. His main use is as an off-field support because of that, though some players decide to have a bit of fun and build him as a DPS. This isn’t his intended use, but it’s never wrong to go outside the meta and have fun.

How to Best Use Venti’s Kit in Genshin Impact
When it comes toGenshin Impact’s Venti’s builds, players are highly encouraged to stack as much EM, or Elemental Mastery, as possible. Doing this increases the damage that his Swirl reactions can do. Using a 4pc Viridescent Venerer set is ideal for him, but if players are having trouble getting pieces from either the domain or strongbox, most will have a reservoir of Wanderer’s Troupe artifacts to pull from. For sub stats, outside of EM, players should aim for Energy Recharge. But for players looking for an attack-based Venti, typical DPS stats like Crit, Anemo DMG Bonus and ATK will do.
He is incredibly free-to-play friendly too, with one ofVenti’s best weaponsbeing The Stringless, a four-star weapon. Though players will still have to pull for this, four-stars are considerably easier to get than five-star weapons, especially since the weapon banner works a little differently from the character banner in that players may have to spend a total of 240 wishes to guarantee the five-star weapon.
When it comes toGenshin Impact’s Venti’s team comps, generally, he can be slotted anywhere that players need an Anemo support. More specifically, he does well wherever players need some crowd control. His ability to drag small enemies like Treasure Hoarders, Hilichurls, and Slimes into a big whirlwind that absorbs one Swirl-able element (Cryo, Hydro, Pyro, or Electro) for elemental reactions is a must. He can be paired with units like Xingqiu, Xiangling, or even the Raiden Shogun.
Players who want to go the extra mile for him and are looking intoVenti’s must-have constellationsmay be disappointed to hear that his best constellations are his C2 and C6 for their resistance shreds. However, this only means that he is perfectly fine at C0; he does not need high levels of investment to be good. His constellations should be viewed as a case of go big or go home. His lower constellations do not change his gameplay enough to warrant pulling for them specifically, but his C6 would be a good stopping point - it just also happens to be the only available stopping point.
Pulling forGenshin Impact’s Ventiis always going to be a good idea. Even as he falls from the meta, he is still a good unit. His crowd control is valuable, and his play style can be very fun. He’s also incredibly free-to-play friendly, which is good for players who don’t have many wishes to spend on any given five-star.
