The Sims 4My Wedding Storiespack received a patch from EA on July 21, 2025, that claims to have fixed the problems within the latest expansion kit. The patch has focused on improving the gameplay surrounding wedding ceremonies and addressing other reported issues.

EA and developer Maxis delivered the news on Twitter that the patch forThe Sims 4was now live for PC and Consoles. The patch reportedly fixes some of the biggest known issues with ceremony activities not working properly during vow renewals, receptions, and wedding ceremony parties. Sims will also now be able to go up and down short, medium, and long aisles during the Gather at Aisle interaction.

Some major issues reported by players included Sims not walking up and down the aisle correctly, guests showing up in improper wedding attire, guests performing inappropriate activities during the wedding ceremonies, and many more.

Some of the more amusing issues that have been addressed in the patch are either the bride or groom not showing up for their own wedding ceremony, the ability to be able to ask children to partake in alcoholic beverages at the bar, sims with a larger backside experiencing clipping issues, andnot enough sunshine in Tartosa. Despite all these fixes, players are still reporting problems. Some guests still do not pay attention to toasts and speeches. There continues to be an issue with the couples' first dance where surrounding sims can be distracted by the stereo system. The bouquet toss still doesn’t function correctly. If there isn’t enough space then the bride simply will not toss it, and guests will not gather in the selected area for the bouquet toss.The Sims 4players will certainly be hoping that EA andMaxis address these remaining bugsin a future patch.

Apart from all the bugs found inThe Sims 4 My Wedding Stories, the game offers players the ability to hold same-sex marriages. As a result, EA announced that the expansion wouldn’t be available in Russia due to the country’s restrictions on LGBTQ content and its federal anti-gay laws. However, just days after that announcement, EA made a U-turn on itsdecision to release the pack in Russiaafter coming under pressure from the fan campaign #weddingsforrussia.
