Laura and Max are the first characters that appear in the Prologue and Laura is the first playable character inThe Quarry. Having almost bumped into someone causes the car to swivel off the road into the woods, thus getting stuck.
After a while, Officer Travis appears, helps them, and then orders the couple to go to the Harbinger Motel, as it’s dangerous at night. Being the stubborn person that she is,Laura doesn’t heed his warningand travels to Hackett’s Quarry Summer Camp, which proved to be her biggest mistake.

How To Reunite Laura And Max And Get The Should’ve Gone To The Motel Achievement In The Quarry
While playing as Ryan and Laura, players need to make some important decisions (in chapters seven and nine specifically) to get the Should’ve Gone to the Motel Achievement.
Chapter 7: Don’t Shoot Travis
In chapter seven, people get the chance to play as Laura and uncover some secrets inThe Quarry. After getting her eyes gouged out by werewolf Max, Laura is free to search the police station for Clues, Tarot Cards, and Evidence.
Upon reaching the last room on the second floor, a tranquilizing syringe can be found inside one of the cabinets.Grab it then hide it inside the fake brick in Laura’s cell before sleeping.

Later, when she pretends to be sick and Travis comes to check on her, complete the QTE to inject him with the tranquilizer and make him pass out. This is a crucial step that’ll ensure Laura’s survival in chapter nine.
Chapter 9: Decline Bite And Shoot Travis
Chapter nine is when things start to get messy as Laura and Ryan are trying to escape the Hacketts. In one scene,Ryan will be lying on the ground suffering from blood lossdue to being stabbed by Bobby, and Laura is convincing him to let her infect him, so he can survive.
Unfortunately, getting the Should’ve Gone to the Motel Achievement requires a sacrifice to be obtained. As a result, players must DECLINE the bite, which will kill Ryan later on in the chapter.

After the couple finds Chris Hackett and then proceeds to fall through the ground, Laura will transform and attacks Travis the moment he enters the room. Ryan on the other hand finds a shotgun on the ground and aims it at Chris, who is busy fighting Bobby. To cure Laura and Max, SHOOT Chris Hackett.
Because Laura didn’t hurt Travis in chapter seven, he’ll discard his weapon and spare her life. Sadly, after a short while, Ryan dies from blood loss and drops the shotgun. Since Ryan was the only person who has information about Silas (as he encounters it with Dylan in the Radio Hut),Travis won’t have any reason to work with Laura. Thus, both of them fight to grab the weapon.

Players need todo the QTE correctly so that Laura wins. After that,SHOOT Travis,or else he’ll snatch the shotgun and imprison her for the remainder of the night.
Chapter 10: Laura And Max Reunite
Finally, in chapter 10,while playing as Max, he will automatically meet Laura on the deck near the lake andplayers will get the Should’ve Gone to the Motel Achievement.
