Last year, McDonald’s andPokemoncollaborated for its 25th anniversary by releasing a variety of special cards. This saw many diehard fans and collectors go buck wild, with many of these cards being scalped online at retailers like eBay. Now, McDonald’s andPokemonare doing it again, with a selection ofHappy Meals that come with Pokemon cardsand toys.
It doesn’t seem, so far, that the craze that struck last year will return, but just like opening any pack of cards, there are many common cards someone can pull from these Pokemon Happy Meals and a few rare ones. These cards are already being sold on eBay, establishing a solid price out of the gate. Hopefully, thesePokemoncards aren’t scalpedto the same degree as last year, and so far there is no indication of that, but many fans may want to know what their cards are worth all the same.

There are fifteen cards someone can get from these Happy Meals, with each coming with four cards alongside a few other odds and ends. EveryPokemoncard has a holographic and non-holographic variant.
As first reported by Dexerto, the non-holographic variants are the most common and cheapest obviously, with each going for a dollar or two on eBay. Meanwhile, each of the following holographic cards are currently going for $3-$6 on eBay:
It should come as no surprise as the most valuable card is Pikachu, with its holographic variant selling for $10 or so online. It should be noted thatPikachu’s holographic card from 2021is still in a similar price range, meaning this card will likely remain the same for a while. Of course, that’s barring any random spikes that could potentially happen, but it remains to be seen since these cards are more standard and less special than last year’s.
This McDonald’s xPokemonpromotion is set to last through mid-September, so anyone looking for certain cards should have more than a few chances to get their hands on them. It’s a pretty good time for thePokemon TCGoverall, as the 2023 Pokemon Championship series was recently announced, with the TCG being one of the focuses heading into the 2023 Pokemon World Championships. The first event is currently slated for September 16-18 and will take place at the Baltimore Convention Center in Maryland.
