When it comes to this episode ofThe Book of Boba Fettthere are plenty of easter eggs. Some of those easter eggs don’t hearken back to more than another Disney Plus series. Others are call backs to movies or shows that are quite a bit older. What is clear is that Episode 6 of the Star Wars series brought all kinds of characters and places into view that hadn’t really been a part of theDisney Plusshow before now.
For the second straight episode, Boba Fett himself was more of an afterthought than anything else. He andFennec Shand appearedin the episode mostly to remind people that the show was indeed supposed to be centering around those characters. However, Boba didn’t have a single line and Fennec basically had one. Apparently, in order to plug in as many easter eggs as possible, the writers needed to treat Boba and his followers as little more than wallpaper.

The Return of Cobb Vanth
Cobb Vanth is the Marshall of Mos Pelgo and the reason thatThe Book of Boba Fettfans know that is that he first made an appearance in Episode 1 ofSeason 2 ofThe Mandalorian. When Vanth first made his appearance on the Disney Plus series, he was wearing Boba Fett’s armor so there are a couple of different ties to Timothy Olyphant’s character and this show.
The character might have made his live-action debut inThe Mandalorianbut he was really first mentioned in theStar WarsbookAftermathwhere the character was once again strutting around town in Boba’s discarded armor. While Vanth has been a compelling character during the episodes he appeared in, there’s a chance audiences have seen him for the last time thanks to another one of the easter eggs that appeared in the most recentThe Book of Boba Fettepisode.
Fans who have only watched the live-action Star Wars movies and television shows probably had no idea just how important in the lore of the universe the stranger who comes to Mos Pelgo is near the end of the episode. The blue gunslinger with the hoses coming out of his face isnone other than Cad Bane. The character first made his appearance inThe Clone Warsanimated show and eventually reappeared inThe Bad Batch.
Whenever he’s shown up, he’s basically been the same bad man he was in this particular episode. It’s clear that he’s one of the deadliest bounty hunters around and he showed off his skills when he squared off against Cobb Vanth. It turns out this time around he’s working for the Pyke Syndicate meaning that he’ll likely make another appearance inThe Book of Boba Fett’s Season Finale. It turns out that all iterations of Cad Bane have been voiced by the same actor, Corey Burton.
Grogu
Otherwise known as The Child, Grogu was mentioned in thelast episode ofThe Book of Boba Fettbut this is the first time that he’s actually made an appearance It turns out he was getting his training to become a Jedi. The real question now is whether or not he’s going to be playing a part in the final episode or making a return in The Mandalorian Season 3.
Luke Skywalker
When a young Luke Skywalker first appeared at the end of Season 2 ofThe Mandalorian, it was thought he was going to be a one-off nod toStar Warsfans. That was also the reason it was thought his appearance was so brief. It turns out that it wasn’t a one-off after all and this time around his appearance wasn’t that brief.
It wasn’t until the newest trilogy that fans had any idea what Luke was up to afterReturn of the Jedi. These Disney Plus shows arefilling in the blanks when it comes to Boba Fettbut they’re also filling in the blanks when it comes to everyone’s favorite Jedi master. This time around he’s helping to train Grogu to become a Jedi and how and what he’s doing offered up plenty of easter eggs themselves.
Order 66
During Grogu’s training Luke helps him remember part of his earlier childhood where we see a Jedi fighting off clone troopers. This scene is clearly supposed to be depicting when The Emperor dialed up Order 66, which was an order embedded into the clones that had them turn on, hunt down and kill every Jedi they could find. Order 66 wasfirst mentioned inRevenge of the Sith. It was also depicted inThe Clone Wars.
Ahsoka Tano
Yet another character that had their live-action version introduced inThe Mandalorianthat has now cross over inThe Book of Boba Fett. With all the cameos that were in this episode, it makes some sense that she’d also appear, especially since she’s eventually going to be getting her own show. Of course, this appearance is also anod toThe Clone Wars, where she made her first television appearance.
R2-D2
Perhaps one of the more surprisingcameos inThe Book of Boba Fettwas R2-D2simply because his presence wasn’t really needed and he hadn’t already surfaced inThe Mandalorian. It turns out that he was apparently overseeing the building of Luke’s stone structure and was mostly there to demonstrate that he was still the Jedi master’s ever-present ally.
Star Wars fans know that the first time this little droid made his appearance was in the firstStar Warsmovie to ever hit theaters and he was the unlikely hero in more than a few hijinks throughout that first trilogy.
The Jedi School
Just what was it that the droids were building near the beginning of this episode of The Book of Boba Fett? It looks an awful lot like the Jedi school that Reyfinds Luke at inThe Last Jedi. In this episode, Luke also mentions the fact that he’s putting together this school and that Grogu could be his first official student. While he did eventually have more students, this appears to be where that all started.
