Infinity Ward loves to experiment with the formula ofCall of Duty, and their latest experiment comes in the form ofModern Warfare 2(2022). In this title, the multiplayer perk system has had a slight overhaul. There are Basic Perks, and there are even Bonus Perks, but deep in the depths of power, there lie the Ultimate Perks, achievable only to the very best players in the game modes that they are available in.

There are six Ultimate Perks inModern Warfare 2. They are achievable through earning points in the game, as that will drastically decrease the time it takes to activate.Modern Warfare 2is yet anotherCall of Dutytitle to try something different, and further spice up the enjoyment of the famous multiplayer first-person shooter. Yet, out of the six Ultimate Perks, only a few canmake the user the ultimate player.
6High Alert
There’s nothing worse than innocently running around a map just to be shot in the back of the head. Luckily for players that think someone is always watching them, High Alert will helpconfirm their suspicionsor otherwise. Through High Alert, the players’ screen will pulse when they are spotted by an enemy player that is not in their view.
This makes players aware that someone is aiming at them, and if they are quick enough, they can turn around or get together before they end up respawning. This Ultimate Perk is unlocked at level 14 but isn’t a vital choice because if the player has their vision pulse, it’s probably already too late.
5Overclock
Field Upgrades have been a part ofCall of Dutyfor years now. They play quite an important role in the game and allow players to bring in an additional utility to their equipment loadout inModern Warfare 2. There are multiple Field Upgrades, from aggressive and reactive to defensive. With Overclock, the Ultimate Perk unlocked from level 1 automatically, Field Upgrades will begranted a bonus.
Overclock allows players to store an additional Field Upgrade, as well as increasing the charge rate by 40%, a notable increase of speed for the Field Upgrade charge. However, some players elect not to even bother with Field Upgrades, so it isn’t an essential Ultimate Perk unless players rely on an extra layer of tactics.
4Survivor
Many players may remember the times inCall of Dutywhen they would think they have killed an opponent, only to realize that they have entered Last Stand and are about to finish them off with a pistol. This tactic has been the death of many inCall of Duty, and it returns as an Ultimate Perk inModern Warfare 2, unlockable at level 34.

With Survivor, players will enter Last Stand once they have been killed. From here, they can self-revive themselves. That is unless they have been shot to death, as most players familiar with this tactic from Battle Royale games will keep shooting just to get in that double tap.
3Bird’s Eye
Players that arenot too happy with the minimapformat may find themselves enjoying Bird’s Eye. This Ultimate Perk unlocks at level 47 and gives players a chance to see a bigger minimap. From here,the map is zoomed out, with the UAV and Radar pings revealing enemy directions and locations to a more detailed and accurate degree.
Players will be able to track prey a lot more efficiently with Bird’s Eye, but considering the fast pace of the game, it’s a perk that isn’t exactly Ultimate, nor is it essential to playingCall of Dutyin the modern meta.
2Quick Fix
Aggressive players are rewarded for their high-risk gameplay with Quick Fix. After reaching level 44, players will unlock Quick Fix, an Ultimate Perk that immediately activates healing upon a kill. If players are enjoying objective-based game modes, then capturing and holding them will also grant them health regeneration. This perk is also a must-have for the Ultimate Perk section, especially for those that expect to be under a lot of fire.
Those that prefer to hang back and snipe others might not have a use for Quick Fix, but those players that like the rush of sprinting into gunfights will need Quick Fix. There are plenty of ways to die inModern Warfare 2, and starting a gunfight when the player is already weakened from a previous one is a surefire way to perish. Quick Fix will ensure that each death grants the playerthe kiss of lifewith quick healing.
1Ghost
There’s nothing better than being a ghost inCall of Duty.Stealth is pretty essentialfor kills and kill streaks. With the correct combination of perks and silencers, players can run around the map without the risk of their death, and the Ultimate Perk for Ghost can achieve just that once the player reaches level 52.
With Ghost, players will be undetectable via UAVs, Portable Radars, and Heartbeat Sensors. Players will essentially be off the grid and hidden from opponents unless they are spotted through visual contact.Ghost is a great character, but also a great perk for lone wolf play, as the player will certainly feel like a hunter as they treat their opponents like prey that can use UAVs to no avail.
