Fans finally got confirmation that there will be a new major festival and two new mini festivals. New items and crafting recipes will also be added, along with new rewards for billboard requests. Bigger announcements concerning the game’s NPCs include over 100+ new lines of dialogue, as well as winter outfits for all the villagers. New late-game content, alternatives to end-game quests, and a new farm type are also on the way. Rounding out the big announcements was a change to PC multiplayer that will allow up to eight people to play the game together.
The sneak peek image reveals some of the new items and NPC additions. A purple totem can be seen, and some fans noted that the design of the totem differs from the usual warp totems. Some have speculated that it may be a new variety of totem, or perhaps it will be similar to the rain totem and have an environmental effect. Others noted what appears to be a quiver of arrows and are guessing that a new bow and arrow weapon option may be on the way.
