While some fans may be disappointed to find out that the cosmetics will be the last to be released forStar Wars: Squadrons, which released last October, it is important to note that developerEA Motive initially did not plan to release any new content forStar Wars: Squadronspost-launch. That changed after the game received positive feedback from fans and critics, who praised the game’s easy-to-learn but difficult-to-master mechanics.

The developer has released two content updates for the game since launch, as well as multiple small cosmetic drops. The updates have added new maps and paint jobs for the game’s selection of starfighters, as well as new skins for the pilots who sit in their cockpits. In January,EA Motive also released a lightsaber hilt cosmetic inspired by the Old Republic. The unexpected roll-out of content has given players a more customizableStar Warsexperience, which has likely kept players invested in the game.
