The Lands Between ofElden Ringare full of disturbing enemies, with the massive, big-headed dogs being some of the most memorable. However, oneElden Ringplayer recently used the attacks of these canines to get the better of a Night’s Cavalry boss, forcing the enemies to fight each other.

The Night’s Cavalry may not be as intimidating as theTree Sentinels inElden Ring, but they can still be a challenge for those that are not adept at horseback combat. These mini bosses can be found in many locations, and true to their name, they only appear at night. However, one of these mini bosses was extremely unlucky, as they found themselves stumbling into the path of three Monstrous Dogs that were aggressive instead of neutral.

This is not the first time that a playertamed anElden Ringbeast, nor is it the first time that enemies have been forced to fight each other. However, the careful planning required to make this particular fight happen is deserving of some praise, as Reddit user fiendlord had a perfect plan of attack. The clip begins with the Redditor perching atop a rock, firing some arrows into the ground in front of the Monstrous Dogs. With the sound attracting them, they get close enough to the Night’s Cavalry to pounce, and only one more step is needed to make them do so.

Once the big-headed animals are in position, fiendlord quickly runs down behind them, crouching up to the growling monstrosities with aBewitching Branchin hand. The threeElden Ringenemies are then under the player’s control, fighting alongside them for three minutes. As such, they run straight up to Night’s Cavalry after fiendlord triggers the fight, biting into the horse-rider time and time again. With the dogs doing all the work for them, fiendlord gets out of the way, focusing entirely on getting a good angle to watch the battle.

It does not take long for the three bewitched dogs to whittle down the health bar of theNight’s Cavalrymini boss, and before long, the boss’s horse is killed. While the Night’s Cavalry manages to eliminate the two weaker dogs, fiendlord closes in on them when they only have a sliver of health left, pulling off a backstab as the white dog bites the Night’s Cavalry. With the boss dead, the Redditor finishes off the surviving dog, killing it before it has a chance to become hostile.

While it may not be as absurd as seeingall ofElden Ring’s bosses fighting, this clip is a great example of the freedom FromSoftware’s latest game provides. Players can approach each situation in several ways, and making enemies fight one another is absolutely a viable route to take in scenarios like this.

Elden Ringis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
