Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayers may still be enjoying the new content added through Season 1 Reloaded, but Season 2 is quickly approaching. Intriguingly, it seems like weapons that will feature in this upcoming season ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warhave already leaked, with a Sniper Rifle and SMG possibly coming to the game.
InCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’s inaugural season of post-launch content, the MAC-10 SMG andGroza Assault Riflewere added to the game’s gun lineup. While the Groza fits comfortably in the AR category, being a solid, well-rounded weapon that does decent damage at all ranges, the MAC-10 proved dominant upon its release. Becoming a powerhouse in both multiplayer andCall of Duty: Warzone, it will be interesting to see how the new SMG stacks up.

The info about the new weapon comes courtesy of Twitter user @TailsDoll711, a dataminer that has been searching through the code ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War. Apart from detailing several future bundles, the dataminer found reference to a new SMG called the AI-LC10. Though no description is present and @TailsDoll711 can not show the weapon online, the leaker has claimed that files existforCall of Duty: Warzoneas well — indicating that its arrival is imminent.
Next, the leaker shows offa new Sniper Riflethat could be coming toCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warsoon. Called the NTW-20, @TailsDoll711 attaches an image of the real-world weapon that will supposedly be getting adapted for the game. Though it is unclear if this new sniper rifle will prove to be as effective as the Pelington 703, a later post details that it will deal “high damage” and be a “1-shot kill to the head, chest, and shoulders” — something that could certainly make it one of the game’s top-tier rifles.
The final weapon-related leaks posted by @TailsDoll711 deal with some midseason melee weapons. Like what happened with the Wakizashi Sword and Sledgehammer, Season 2 ofCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warwill feature two different close quarters tools. The first is a machete, which makes plenty of sense considering the Vietnam areas of the game’s campaign andthe Firebase Z Zombies map. The second melee weapon will be an E-Tool, a foldable shovel used for digging trenches in combat.
With previous leaks suggesting thatthe Dragunov Sniper Rifleand Galil Assault Rifle could be coming to the game sometime soon as well, players should see no shortage of new weapons to use in-game. Whether it be long range sniping with the NTW-20 or melee takedowns with the E-tool, fans should have a blast trying out the upcoming additions.
