WithFast & Furious 9set to hit theaters on June 25, fans of the franchise andRocket Leagueare in for a special treat. An announcement at Summer Games Fest revealed that three new cars are coming toRocket Leagueinspired by theFast & Furiousmovies.
The cars in question are going to be a classic Dodge Charger, a Nissan Skyline, and an F9 Pontiac Fiero, all cars that have either featured or willfeature in theFast & Furiousmovies. The bundle will hitRocket Leagueabout a week before the movie drops, on June 17.

In a brief reveal trailer, the three cars are seen dropping from a cargo plane while chasing aRocket Leagueball. The Dodge Charger appears to be modeled after the 1970 Dodge Charger R/T that is driven by Vin Diesel’s character, Dominic Toretto, and appears inrecent promos forFast & Furious 9. The Nissan Skyline, of course, is driven by the late Paul Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, in2 Fast 2 Furious.
The oddest-looking car in the bunch is the F9 Pontiac Fiero. WhileFast & Furious 9has already hit major heights by brieflytaking over the Burj Khalifa, the F9 Pontiac Fiero will take the series to new places when it is launched into space in the upcoming film. Of course, this makes it the perfect car forRocket League, since it features a literal rocket on the roof. It’s unlikely that this will be the last time thatRocket Leagueteams up withFast & Furious, as the series is slated for at least two more movies before wrapping up the main franchise.
This is not the first time that fans have seen Fast & Furious in-game. Back in 2017, the game saw its first introduction of cars from theFast & Furiousfranchise when it ushered in different versions of Dominic Toretto’s Charger and O’Conner’s Skyline. It’s also far from the first crossover. Just recently,Rocket League partnered with NASCARto introduce three new cars including a NASCAR Ford Mustang, a NASCAR Chevrolet Camaro, and a NASCAR Toyota Camry in celebration of the NASCAR World Cup Series. Regardless of fans' feelings about the Fast & Furious movies, the three cars are mostly considered classics by the racing community and are a welcome addition to theRocket Leagueroster.
