TheResident Evil 4 Remakehas some tricky puzzles for players to solve, including some challenging computer terminal power puzzles. In Chapter 14 of theResident Evil 4 Remake, players must head to the summit with Ashley, but there are some dicey moments where enemies try to capture Ashley while Leon is mid-puzzle. Players must be on their toes tosolve the waste disposal power puzzleand save Ashley.

Players may recall theResident Evil 4 Remake’s freezer power puzzlefrom Chapter 13, where the game similarly ups to ante by combining puzzle-solving mechanics with fighting off Regeneradors. However, the waste disposal power puzzle is slightly harder, particularly for those doing a Professional Mode playthrough.
How To Power Waste Disposal Computer (Electric Lock Terminal)
After players defeat the Regenerador close to the sewage area, they enter theWaste Disposal map area, where a locked door powered by an Electric Lock Terminal blocks the path forward.Players must power up the computer terminal to open the door, but it’s not as straightforward as that.
Head to the nearby wheel and instruct Ashley to turn it using the Ashley command controls. This action lowers the bridge in front, enabling Leon to run around and cross the second bridge to thePower Control Leveron the opposite side of the barred wall.
Before pulling the Power Control Lever, grab the nearby green herb and open any boxes to get the remaining collectibles. Crucially, check the route back across the bridge and equip the Stingray rifle, one ofResident Evil 4 Remake’s best weapons. This preparation will save a lot of time and potential panic because when Leon pulls the switch to re-route the power to the Electronic Lock Terminal, the lights go out, a Regenerador approaches, and enemies soon attempt to grab Ashley.

Pull the lever to restore the power to the computer terminaland quickly run across the bridge to Ashley’s location, sniping and shooting any enemies who try to grab and capture her. Otherwise, players can get stuck on the opposite side of the bridge if enemies take Ashley away, making it a lot harder to help her and likely resulting in mission failure. Onceenemies in the area are defeated, players can avoid fighting the Regenerador by running across the first bridge before Ashley lets go of the wheel mechanism.
How To Solve Waste Disposal Computer Terminal Puzzle
Now the area is safe, and the computer terminal is working, players can focus onsolving the waste disposal computer terminal power puzzle by linking the power lines from the outside to the center of the screen, moving the direction of power flow one section at a time and working inwards.
OnAssisted mode, there are four power lines to connect, as displayed in the top-right corner of the computer screen, with the puzzle solution pictured below. However, players going through the game in Professional game mode will need to link up six power lines to solve the puzzle.
Once players have the correct solution, click confirm to input the solution to restore power and open the door.Head through the adjoining corridor, defeating any enemies that spawn to find the next typewriter save point by the Merchant, with the option to save before continuingResident Evil 4 Remake’s Chapter 14.
