For new players, it can be difficult to decide exactly which items and pins to prioritize buying, as the short description provided with each item doesn’t always give the full picture. Therefore, we’ve provided this guide to detail which supplies players should prioritize buying.
How Do You Buy Supplies?
Supplies inPsychonauts 2are purchased using Psitanium. Psitanium is the purple mineral found all over the game, and it is used as a currency between psychics.
Supplies are sold at the Otto-Matic, a chain of shops created by Otto Mentallis, a member of the Psychic Six. The easiest Otto-Matic to reach is the one located in the Motherlobe’s lobby area, near to Ford’s barbers.

What Supplies Should You Prioritize Buying?
The Otto-Matic sells items, pins and lets players combine their PSI Challenge Cards with PSI Cores to create PSI Challenge Markers, increasing Raz’s rank. As mentioned before, the plethora of supplies on offer can be overwhelming for new players. So, to give new players a helping hand, here are some of the best items and pins to prioritize buying.
Psifold Wallet
At the start ofPsychonauts 2, Raz will only be able to hold a maximum of 100 Psitanium at a time; this may sound like a decent amount on paper, though it will soon prove to be far too little as players start to progress through the game.
This is why the Psifold Wallet is such an essentially early-game item, as for just 75 Psitanium,it will increase Raz’s wallet capacity to 1000.

PSI Core
The PSI Core may not look like much with its cheap cost and entry-level rank requirement - though it’s one of the most important items in the game.

The PSI Core can be combined with PSI Challenge Cards to make a PSI Challenge Marker that will increase Raz’s rank.Increasing Raz’s rank has many important benefits, such as allowing players to buy some of this guide’s more advanced items.
Mental Magnet
The Mental Magnet may initially sound like an unnecessary luxury item that will make barely any difference to the player’s item collecting. However, once players invest in the pin, they will soon see how beneficial the Mental Magnet can be.
The Mental Magnet draws small items to Raz from a greater distance, which is excellent for collecting Psitanium in the mid-game when running around for each piece can get tedious. The Mental Magnet is also excellent for combat, as it will frequently draw health orbs to Raz, topping up his health and preventing players from having to run around collecting them during a fight.

Mental Tax
The Mental Tax pin provides afantastic way to farm Psitanium. The pin makes Psitanium emit when Raz makes Mental Connections and can be used repeatedly with no cool-down.If players find a long Mental Connection chain to ride back and forth, they can earn 5000 Psitanium in just a few minutes!
Strike-onaut
Strike-onaut’s perk is very simple but also very effective. The pin increases Raz’s punch damage, which will become almost essential towards the back-end of the campaign.
TheBubble WrapandHeavy Thoughtspins are other combat supplies well worth considering.Bubble Wrap allows Raz to slow enemies down, whileHeavy Thoughts lets him bind enemies down- both pins are excellent for crowd control.
