The PS4 is just seeing the beginning of the end of its life cycle as thePlayStation 5’s release date nears, but that hasn’t stopped Sony from making new updates for the 4. According to a few gamers on Twitter, they have started receiving invitations to test out PlayStation 4’s 7.50 update, which is now ready for beta testing.
The PlayStation 4 has been through a lot of updates since its release in 2013. While updates usually enhance security or improve performance, big updates usually change basic PS4 features. For example, thePlayStation 4’s update 7.00gave players 16 maximum party numbers from its original 8 players, improved the voice chat quality, and updated Remote Play to be usable on more types of devices.

While there won’t be any new features in this update just yet for Beta testers, there’s a good chance that Beta testers will eventually have some to see and test in the coming months. Update 7.50 doesn’t seem to have an official release date yet, but since it’s beginning to be rolled out to the public, players may see this update sooner rather than later.
