Right now, HoYoverse has not confirmed these dates, but they make sense considering that the current banners bearing Neuvillette and Kazuha will end on April 23. Players will know soon enough, as HoYoverse typically hosts a special stream announcing all the content expected to come with a new update.
Genshin Impact 4.6 Special Program
HoYoverse always hosts special programs that break down all the features within a new update. These are typically hosted by chibi versions of relevant characters. For example, the 4.5 stream was hosted by the Traveler (male), Kirara, Chiori, and Sucrose. While 4.5 was considered a “dry” update by fans because it did not add any major areas to the map, 4.5 did make thenew 5-star Geo sword user Chioriavailable. Kirara and Sucrose were included because of their involvement with the “Alchemical Ascension” event that allowed players to mix up potions and sell them all over Teyvat.
The hosts of the 4.6 special program could be any number of popular characters. It’s likely thatArlecchinowill be involved, her release being one of the most hyped character releasesGenshin Impacthas had in quite a while. That said, there are three other 5-star characters that will be made available during 4.6: Lyney, Wanderer, and Baizhu. Furthermore, there are limited-time events that will be hosted by certain characters as well as the alleged inclusion of a new 4-star character. It’s not clear yet which characters will host the special program, nor the date it will premiere.
Leakers like Impact Mouse on X have alleged that the special program will stream on April 12. This follows the usual schedule of teasing the new updates approximately two weeks before they are released.
