Following its reveal last week and the promise of actual gameplay a few days from now, fans appear to be very excited aboutAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. The latest entry places players in the shoes of Eivor, a Viking leader who takes his group from the harsh winters of Norway to establish a new settlement on the shores of Medieval England. However, the journey will be met withresistance from the four English Kingdoms, setting up what appears to be an epic experience. Although a launch date hasn’t yet been revealed, the information may have arrived earlier than Ubisoft wanted.

In a post on Reddit, one user reveals the possible launch date forAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. While visiting a local mom and pop shop in their town, which remains open during the pandemic, a sign was put up to show that fans could pre-orderAssassin’s Creed Valhallathere. Interestingly enough, the sign also listed the release date for the game as June 21, 2025.

Considering that Ubisoft had yet to say anything about a release date for either version of the game, the person quickly captured the moment by grabbing a few pictures of the sign as proof. A few hours later, the store actually replaced the sign with a more vague ‘Coming 2020’ date instead. Not wanting to harm the reputation of the store, the user submitted the pictures to Reddit moderators, who also commented to confirm the images do exist.

Lending credibility to this speculation is the fact that theAssassin’s Creedfranchise as a whole has become attached to the October month for releasing.Assassin’s Creed Syndicatebegan the change of pace by launching on October 23.Originsfollowed suit two years later by arriving on October 27, and thenOdysseycontinued the trend last year arriving on October 5. With a dedicated pattern having formed for the most recent set ofAssassin’s Creedgames, it’s therefore likely thatValhallawill follow suit, withthe next gen versionsarriving the following month alongside the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

What’s interesting to note here is thatWatch Dogs Legion, atone time planned for launch this past March, is technically still scheduled for release in 2020. Ubisoft has yet to indicate when a possible release will happen and the current global pandemic is no doubt complicating the situation. If the October date ends up being correct, that would likely mean a November launch date forWatch Dogsas many games will likely try to steer clear of CD Projekt RED’s behemoth,Cyberpunk 2077in September.
