The Held Item known as an Amulet Coin has been around in thePokemonseries since the second generation of titles withPokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal. Sinceacquiring money (Poke Dollars) is mostly done through battling other trainers in thePokemongames, it can be hard at times to amass large sums of money, especially in earlier titles. This is where the Amulet Coin comes into play, offeringPokemonplayers double the amount of money earned from defeating trainers.Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandPokemon Shining Pearltrainers can get this Held Item, too.
How Does the Amulet Coin Work?
Once acquiring the Amulet Coin,Pokemon Brilliant DiamondandShining Pearlplayers can head into their “Other Items Pocket” and give the coin to a Pokemon to hold onto. If this particular Pokemon is sent into a trainer battle, the reward for defeating the trainer will be doubled. The Pokemon with the Amulet Coin just has to join the battle, which means that it doesn’t necessarily need to win the entire battle by itself.

Where to Find the Amulet Coin in BDSP
Once Pokemon players make their way to Hearthome City, the home to the fifth Pokemon Gym Leader in Sinnoh, they should go inside Amity Square. This is an area where players can freely walk around with a Pokemon by their side. Players can also talk to trainers here and find hidden items, such as the Amulet Coin. Players will also need to visit Amity Square anyways if they want tounlock the option to have Pokemon follow themin the overworld.
Amity Square is located just behind the Pokemon Center in Hearthome City. In the northeastern corner ofAmity Square, players should see a man with a Drifloon near some stairs. Behind the man are two large structures that players can walk inside of. If trainers head into the structure on the left, they can press the A button inside to pick up the Amulet Coin. It can’t be seen from the outside, but players will find it once they click around inside of it.

This is the only Amulet Coin that players will find in the Sinnoh region, so they should take good care of it and use it to rake in the dough. Thenew outfits inBrilliant DiamondandShining Pearlaren’t going to buy themselves.
