One thing that fans are asking about is if the Wild Area, something that was added inPokémon Sword and Shield, will make an appearance in this remake. Some fans want it and some don’t, so let’s see what their reasons are.

10Do: Dynamic Camera

Going into the Wild Area gives the player the chance to see thePokémonworld from a perspective that we don’t usually get to see. The Dynamic camera that is used while the player is in the Wild Area gives the ability to look from a new perspective was a surprising treat that most fans really enjoyed.

This is a level of control that we haven’t had before in previousPokémontitles and this change will likely be a wanted addition to aDiamond and Pearlremake.

9Don’t: Might Remove Pokémon From Other Areas

The thing is that we have only ever seen how the Wild Area was implemented into an entirely new region and game, with entirely new Pokémon and even different versions of old ones that fans love.

This was fine, but the problem is that if the Wild Area was implemented into a remake of an older game, this might cause the developer to remove somePokémonthat might have appeared in other areas of the game, in order to have them in the Wild Area

8Do: We Might Get Pokémon From Different Regions

Something that would be interesting that the games developers might do is have Pokémon from some of the newer generations put into the wild area.

Some fans of the originalPokémon: Diamond and Pearlgame might want to keep the game as accurate as possible to its original version, but having a Wild Area with newer Pokémon would be a smart way to integrate newer Pokémon without having them within the normal world of the game. This could also act as a remedy for some fans' concern about moving Pokémon from other areas into the Wild Area, and allow game developers to keep such Pokémon in their originalareas.

7Don’t: Gets Old Fast

The Wild Area is a pretty good addition to a game series that a lot of fans said was getting stale. It was a way to add some spice into the game with a lot of different aspects, especially since there was a fairly decent amount of fans who were annoyed thatPokémon: Let’s Go PikachuandLet’s Go Eeveewere just other remakes of Generation I. The problem is that the Wild Area in its current state could be annoying and repetitive to some players.

6Do: Improvements

Like we said earlier, the Wild Area, while it is definitely a good addition toPokémon Sword and Shield, it could get old fast. This is the first generation to integrate the Wild Area, so it will likely act as a sort of a test run on how to make better versions of it in future installments to the franchise.

GameFreak could learn from the criticisms that fans had of the Wild Area to ensure that it is improved upon in other games that it is included in, with better features.

5We Don’t: Troubles With Integrating It

A problem that the developers of thePokémon: Diamond and Pearlremakes could run into is with integrating the Wild Area into the existing skeleton of the game. Fans will probably want this game to be as close to the originals that they remember as possible.

This means that the develops will probably have a bit of a hard time with putting in the Wild Area into a game that did not originally have it, while still making it feel organic and natural.

4We Do: Raids

Raids probably weren’t the first thing that you thought would be added to thePokémonseries but it was definitely a welcome addition when we did get them. Taking the idea of raids, a thing mainly known for being in MMORPGs and adding it to a mainly single-player game worked wonders, being one of few opportunities to team up with friends in the game.

This would be great inDiamond and Pearl, as you could do raids against the legendary Pokémon of that generation.

3Don’t: Safari Zone

One reason that the Wild Area might not be integrated so well into a remake ofPokémon: Diamond and Pearlis that those games already have something that is very similar in concept to the Wild Area. The Safari Zone was an area that had unique Pokémon that could only be found there, as well as items.

You had a limited amount of Pokémon you could use in it and couldn’t battle there, but having both the Safari Zone and Wild Area might be a bit much.

2Do: Added Content

If the Wild Area was added to a remake ofPokémon Diamond and Pearl, overall that means that the game would have more content, provided that having the Wild Area didn’t cause the developers to remove anything from the original game.

This would mean that something that is generally liked by fans would be added to a remake of a game that most fans do enjoy. Fans would be getting more overall for their purchase.

1Don’t: Changes The Orginal Game

Like we mentioned earlier, while fans might think that the Wild Area is a good idea and may have even enjoyed it inPokémon: Sword and Shield,it doesn’t mean that they want to see it in every game.

Having the Wild Area in a remake of an olderPokémongame would fundamentally change the experience of the game which is something that the fans who have been asking for the remake may not want. The fans want an updated but still very similar version of the thing they played before.
