Persona 3 Portableis full of content, including a huge number of requests for players to complete in exchange for rewards. Several of these requests task players with fusing personas that have a specific move and showing it to the Velvet Room Attendant (Elizabeth or Theodore).
One such request inPersona 3 Portableis Request 23, which asks players to fuse a Persona known as Orthrus, with the move “Dodge Slash.” This is a useful move that increases the Protagonist’s chance of dodging Slash-type attacks while Orthrus is the active Persona. This guide will describe the easiest way to accomplish this request.

What is Orthrus?
Orthrus is a lion-like Persona from Greek Mythology that has two heads. In Greek Myth, Orthrus was a two-headed dog that was killed by Heracles and guarded the cattle of Geryon prior to its death, and was also the brother of Cerberus.
In this game, Orthrus is a level 28 Hanged Man Persona with good strength, endurance, and agility. It mainly learns fire and physical moves when leveling up, and does not naturally learn Dodge Slash. It is weak to ice and blocks fire. Players will need to find a Persona with Dodge Slash that can be used to fuse Orthrus, so Orthrus can inherit the skill.
How to Fuse Orthrus with Dodge Slash
There’s luckily quite an easy way to fuse an Orthrus with Dodge Slash, and that is by using a Strength Persona known as Rakshasa. Rakshasa is a level 16 Strength Persona with a decent array of physical attacks, plus Zionga for electrical damage. More importantly for the purposes of this guide, it has Dodge Slash as an innate skill from the moment it’s obtained.
Now players will need to acquire any persona of the following Arcana:Fool, Emperor, Moon, Death, or Judgement.The Persona’s starting level must be between 26 and 40. Fusing any persona that meets those conditions with a Rakshasa will create Orthrus, so just inherit Dodge Slash and the request is complete.
Some good Personas to use for these purposes areYamata-no-OrochiandLoa, since they are levels 26 and 31 respectively, making them easy to access at around the same level as Orthrus. Technically Black Frost and King Frost could be used for this a well. However, King Frost requires players to complete request 22 before it can be created, and Black Frost is a cross-spread fusion that uses multiple Personas including King Frost itself, so these two are much less efficient options.
