Once you get a basic base up and running inPalworld- the real grind begins. You’ll soon find yourself in dire need of new materials likeHigh Quality Pal Oil, which is used to create a number of useful items.
As you explore the archipelago, you’ll encounter stronger and more aggressive Pals and Syndicate members. You’ll need to arm yourself withguns and plenty of ammoif you want to survive, and to do that, large amounts of High Quality Pal Oil is required. Here’s where to get this essential crafting material inPalworld.
Where to Find High Quality Pal Oil
The earliest and easiest way to get High Quality Pal Oil is to huntWooliepops, which you may find near the Ravine Entrance waypoint. From the Plateau of Beginnings, head to the Rayne Syndicate Tower, then turn west. Once you arrive at the Ravine Entrance, check the hills and the forests, and you’ll regularly encounter some Wooliepops traveling in pairs. Knock them out to get small quantities of High Quality Pal Oil.
You can also catch Wooliepopsand butcher them for extra drops. Take a few cotton candy sheep with you back home, grab a meat cleaver, and start chopping. Butchering a Pal gives you all of their drops a second time, essentially doubling the loot you gain from them. However, butchered Pals can never be recovered, so make sure you don’t kill one with good perks.
Hunting Wooliepops is only recommended for low-level players. There are other Pals that drop High Quality Pal Oil in larger quantities, but most of them are fairly high-level. Your best bet at farming this resource is to huntDigtoisesin desert biomes. You can find some directly north of the Ravine Entrance waypoint, near the Quivern’s boss arena. Keep in mind that the climate in desert biomes is hot, so either wear some hot-weather clothes or hunt at night so you don’t take damage over time. Alternatively, you can huntMammorestsin forests.
High Quality Pal Oil is required to make most guns inPalworld,including the later-tier ones like assault rifles, since the oil is also needed to make Polymer. It may be wiseto set up a base in the desertpast the Bamboo Grove to cut down on travel times. Otherwise, you may hunt on the desert island far to the northeast. Bring good weapons or a strong Grass-type Pal for hunting Digtoises.
