Splatoon 3arrived at today’s surprise Nintendo Direct with a Deep Cut Splatcast announcing its first post-launch Splatfest, whose theme asks, “What would you bring to a deserted island?” If fans were eager, they already had an opportunity to experienceSplatoon 3’s Tricolor Turf Warswith its Splatfest World Premiere. Like the world premiere that launched temporarily before the launch ofSplatoon 3, this new Splatfest includes an overarching theme. The world premiere’s own theme was “Rock, Paper, Scissors,” asking fans to answer the age-old question and assign themselves to either of the three teams, which also had their own Deep Cut mascot representing them....

Splitgate, the arena first-person shooter game that’s been described asHalomeetsPortal, has taken the world by storm. The game’s open beta has seen it explode in popularity, rising through the charts and becoming one of the year’s surprise successes in the process.
