Whilecombining hero abilities is key to success in Blizzard’s FPS, the efficiency of this particular team combo seemed unstoppable and overpowered compared to other synergies within the game.
Team play is at the core ofOverwatch 2. Two teams of five players fight to either take control of an objective or move a payload to a specific destination. Unlike other FPS likeCounter-Strike: Global OffensiveorValorant, everything isn’t about aim inOverwatch 2. Each team features one Tank, two Damage, and two Support heroes who need to combine their abilities to take the edge in battle.

Daniel “dafran” Francesca, a formerOverwatch Leagueprofessional player, shared a gameplay snippet on his Twitter page today to demonstrate a new powerful ultimate combo. In the footage, dafran played Damage hero Soldier: 76 as his team defended the first point on the Hollywood map. The former professional player combined his hero’s ultimate ability with three other members of his team to land a devastating combo on his opponents.
Dafran’s teammate first usedSupport hero Kiriko’s ultimate ability, Kitsune Rush, to increase the movement, attack speed, and cooldowns of all allies standing between their defensive position and the enemy team. The second Support hero from dafran’s team, Ana, then shot her Nano Boost on dafran’s Soldier: 76, increasing his damage and resistance to enemy strikes. Meanwhile, Damage hero Sombra launched her EMP, damaging the enemy team for 40% of their current health points and temporarily stopping them from using their abilities. Less than a second later, dafran moved out of his cover position to kill the entire enemy team with Soldier: 76’s ultimate ability, Tactical Visor, which automatically targets nearby opponents.
Less than a week afterKiriko joined the competitive games ofOverwatch 2, this Support hero is at the center of a devastating team combo. The power from this coordinated strike comes from the damage and speed boost provided by Kiriko and Ana’s ultimate abilities, which were paired with Soldier 76’s Tactical Visor. The enemy Lucio had his Sound Barrier ready, which could have saved his team by briefly providing extra health to everyone. But since thisOverwatch 2ultimate combo used Sombra’s ultimate ability, the enemy team was unable to use their techniques to escape Soldier 76’s reticle, resulting in a quick team kill.
