AnOverwatch 2clip showcases a Symmetra using their teleporter to save an ally in a clutch way. With the release ofOverwatch 2, many of the game’s heroes were reworked so that they fit the game’s new faster-paced 5v5 gameplay. Symmetra is oneOverwatch 2character that’s struggled in the transition due to her reliance on stationary objects like turrets and the teleporter. But as Symmetra players get more familiar with the action, they’re able to pull off some very exciting maneuvers.
Previously, Symmetra’s teleporter was intended for mass traversal. While Symmetras certainly benefited from using their teleporters to give themselves an advantage, positioning it so their teammates could get into the fight faster or have better positioning was a bigger priority. ButSymmetra changed withOverwatch 2. Symmetra’s teleporter is now designed for quick attacks and retreats. While teamwork can work well, Symmetras are encouraged to act selfishly as a largely offensive archetype.

There are rare occasions, however, whenOverwatch 2Symmetras use their powers for good, or more specifically to save their teammates from certain death. A clip from Reddit user sw1nky showcased one such example, which shows an Ana finding herself to be one of the few players left alive on her team. She’s trying to escape a charging Genji, but is in dire straits. That’s when Ana turns around and find a perfectly positioned teleporter available to escape through.
The video even goes so far as to show the Symmetra’s perspective after it shows the Ana’s. They’ve fallen back, or have recently respawned, and just happen to be perfectly in position tohelp theirOverwatch 2teammate with a teleporter. That’s not to take away from what the Symmetra did, of course. They placed the teleporter perfectly and were willing to make the effort in the first place, which is more than some Symmetras are able or willing to do.
There’s nothing preventingOverwatch 2Symmetra playersfrom proving this kind of support in a game, but it’s absolutely not easy to manage in the heat of battle. As the clip shows, though, it does happen occasionally and there are Symmetras out there looking to help. With hope, seeing this clip with encourage Symmetra players to be more proactive.
Even just as a fun clip, this is a great video. The creator experienced something positive whileplayingOverwatch 2and decided it would be something valuable to share with the game’s community. It not only encourages great teamwork, but celebrates the player that helped save the Ana. The creator even goes so far as saying they made the video to, “pay my respects to this chad Sym player… you a real one.”
Overwatch 2is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
