TheOverwatchseries has always gone above and beyond for its special seasonal events, and its Christmas events are often some of the best. This year,Overwatch 2has brought back itsiconic Winter Wonderland event, but things work a little differently this time round. While players are still able to participate in some exciting limited-time game modes, they’re no longer able to unlock season loot boxes, but that doesn’t mean they can’t earn some fun festive cosmetics in other ways.
Getting rid of loot boxes has been one of the most divisive aspects ofOverwatch 2, but thankfully, players can still earn plenty of holiday-themed cosmetic rewards during this year’s Winter Wonderland event. By completing a series of unique challenges, players can earn a new Epic skin for Brigitte, a few fun weapon charms, and some themed sprays, with even more rewards being available for those who spend their evenings watchingOverwatch 2Twitch streamers.

Every Overwatch 2 Winter Wonderland Event Reward
The very first Winter Wonderland reward players will unlock inOverwatch 2is the wreath weapon charm, which is obtained by simply logging in between December 20, and January 4. The rest ofOverwatch 2’s Winter Wonderland rewardsrequire just a little more effort, asking players to complete a series of event-exclusive challenges. These challenges can be found by heading over to the “Challenges” tab on the main menu and selecting the “Event” tab at the top of that page. These challenges either reward players with tons of Battle Pass XP or a slew of free cosmetics.
Completing a handful of specific challenges will reward players with four unique sprays. Each of these sprays shows an iconicOverwatch 2character in the form of a Christmas tree ornament. Players can unlock an ornament spray for Junker Queen, Kiriko, Sojourn, andnew playable hero Ramattra. By completing six of the eight available challenges, players will unlock the Brigitte Ice Queen Epic skin, which gives the support hero a cold makeover with a frozen crown and armor encased in glossy blue ice. Unlocking the Brigitte skin will also unlock another holiday-themed weapon charm for the player, that being a cute little snowman head complete with a top hat. These challenges range from catching six snowballs in a Snowball Deathmatch, to thawing 15 allies in a single game of Freezethaw Elimination, to simply getting a win in each limited-time game mode.
Those who want even moreOverwatch 2Winter Wonderland rewards can head over to Twitch, where they can unlock an exclusiveD.Va pose and Legendary skin. Players will need to head to Twitch’s designatedOverwatch 2area, and verify to join a stream that’s on the drop-enabled channels. If players watch one of these streams for two hours, they earn themselves a festive D.Va pose, and if they watch a total of six hours of Twitch stream content, then they’ll receive the Sleighing D.Va Legendary skin, which gives her mech a red and gold design complete with antlers. Fans need to make sure that their Battle.net and Twitch accounts are linked to receive their rewards.
While that’s all the free rewards players can get duringOverwatch 2’s Winter Wonderland event, those eager to spread the holiday cheer even further can head toOverwatch 2’s shop, where they can purchase some more festive skins. Players should be able to buy a new Bastion skin for just one coin, which gives him a gingerbread makeover adorned with a candy cane gun barrel and a santa hat.
