People Can Fly, creators ofOutriders, recently shared on Twitter official data about the game regarding time played, resources obtained, most used classes and abilities, total damage dealt, most popular weapons, and more. The team of developers did share similar infographics with players of the demo and fans of the game in late March as well, and it’s interesting to note how class choices have not changed much thus far. TheTrickster remains the most popular class inOutriders, with the Pyromancer taking again second place, followed by the Technomancer and the Devastator, respectively third and fourth place. Percentages of use have slightly changed, but overall, things have stayed the same in this department.

At the end of the slides, though, People Can Fly sent a message toOutridersplayers, thanking them and stating that the team will keep on listening to the community’s feedback to further improve the game over time. There’s more, though, because it’s implied that there will be more content coming toOutridersin the future, expanding the game beyond what it currently is. There is no information now regarding how this will happen, but it’s likely that a DLC will release in the coming months, and players are trying to figure out what that might be.

Why A Story DLC For Outriders Makes Sense, And What It Could Entail

It’s plausible to assume that People Can Fly will add more than weapons, armor pieces, and a couple of new Expeditions, and that’s because thestory ofOutriderscan be expanded into something more than what it is thus far. There could many more secrets to find regarding the Pax, the Ferals, and Monroy’s people, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg here. The ending alone doesn’t tie all knots together, and that’s something that will happen during some Expeditions, with the likes of Moloch and Yagak being finally defeated, this time properly.

A story DLC could further explore what happened to the Pax and if there are more of them alive, somewhere else on Enoch, and if there are other survivors of Monroy’s people. Another keyOutridersmystery remains unsolved, withOutridersexplaining the origins of the Ferals, but nothing more about them, including their society, how they communicate, how intelligent they are, and more. Furthermore, what happens to the world ofOutridersas players get to know it throughout the game after drop pods are retrieved? What will the remaining humans do with the supplies, and will war finally stop? These questions remain unanswered for now, meaning that a DLC could finally tell the full story.

What An Outriders DLC Would Introduce In Terms Of Gear, Level Cap, And More

Of course, a DLC forOutriderswill never only contain story elements as much as it’s unlikely for it to include only new gear and endgame stuff. Not long ago, when People Can Fly finally beganrestoring items lost with the inventory wipe bug, a player reported on Reddit that their restored weapons were level 70, whereas the current level cap for gear is 50, and for players, it’s 30. While this report didn’t see further confirmations from the rest of the community, it is worth noting that it may be a visual bug showing assets that are meant to come later on with an expansion.

In fact, it’s in the realm of possibility thatOutriderswill see a level cap increase for gear, making the grind for new stuff and old items alike worth it. A level cap increase for gear is likely to mean that also the characters' level cap will increment by a few units, opening up even more build options for players, maybe making the selection of two capstones onOutriders' passive treea reality. This, the addition of new gear, and the old one being rebalanced would quickly transform the meta into something else. Whether this will be the case, only time will tell; still, there is hope for new exciting content coming forOutriders.

Outridersis available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
