The Witcher 3: Wild Hunthas a vibrant modding community that continues to innovate and create new content in the nearly seven-year-old game. With quality-of-life features, new outfits and visual changes,The Witcher 3’s mods have made the game continually relevant and increased its shelf life dramatically.

Among themany mods which improveThe Witcher 3, however, are some which are utterly bewildering and, in fact, purposefully make the game more difficult. For example, as displayed in a video on Reddit, one such mod creates a myriad of Geralts to accompany the player on their journey across The Continent.

In the video, posted by user thepowerlies onThe Witcher 3subreddit, Geralt is seen running about the fields of Toussaint from the Blood and Wine expansion. Surrounding him, in perfect unison, are more than a dozen other Geralts running with him. The witcher’s intense sprint adds to the hilarity, looking as though they are about to besiege the city of Beauclair while some of the group get stuck in cypress trees.

If one didn’t know any better, one might assume thatThe Witcher’s School of the Wolfhas a very literal meaning, training Geralt clones to run in a pack. As user switchmallgrab jests, “School of the Wolfpack” may be a more appropriate name. By this logic, the titular antagonistic Wild Hunt takes on a whole new meaning, as well.

Redditors rush to make reference to the games in the comments, like user greenhunter3 who jokes about Geralt’s often used line, “Wind’s howling,” echoing through the group. A user named No_Exchange_9313 writes about the difficulty ofattaining 100% of the game’s Gwent cards, suggesting that the hoard of Geralts is a “Gwent division on way to win everycard.” The original poster empathizes, stating “those freed prisoners are hard to track down,” referring to the many Gwent players scattered across the map. Another commenter makes a very rude suggestion, crying “To passiflora!”,The Witcher3’s Novigrad brothel.

This isn’t the first time thatmods have madeThe Witcher 3strangerand more difficult, and it likely won’t be the last. With CD Projekt Red’s full support of the modding community, Geralt’s quest to find Ciri can become a much less lonely experience, both in-game and out. As the next installment inThe Witcherfranchise enters development, players and modders can hope that this support continues well into the future.

The Witcher 3: Wild Huntis available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
