Black Friday may be over, but the sales are continuing through to Cyber Monday and beyond. Some of the best deals of the holiday have been forNintendo Switch games, including major first-party titles likeThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Some of those great deals might be over, but Target has decided to do keep the savings going for a little while longer. Nintendo Switch owners can take advantage of Target’s Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off offer for a selection of Nintendo Switch exclusives through Monday night.
The selection of games available in the Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off sale at Target is unfortunately limited, but is certainly better than nothing. 6 different games are available for buyers to choose from, each of them priced between $43 and a full $60. The list includesThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild,Super Mario Party,Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu,Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee,Splatoon 2, andMario Kart 8 Deluxe. There are also two gift baskets available, which bundle candy with certain toys or games.

Given the limited amount of options in the sale, the exact amount of cash that can be saved is pretty clear. If a buyer picks up bothThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the WildandMario Kart 8 Deluxe, each priced at $59.99, they’ll spend $90 and save $30. ThePokemon Let’s Gogamesare priced lower at $42.99, so if a buyer chooses them then their savings will be just $21.50. That’s between 20% and 25% off, which is a decent overall discount.
In comparison to the now-endedBlack Friday sales, Target’s new Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off sale is pretty good. For comparison,The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwas discounted $20 for Black Friday compared to its Target price, as wasSplatoon 2andSuper Mario Party. However, Target’s prices forSplatoon 2andSuper Mario Partyare already discounted some, $10 forSuper Mario Partyand $16 forSplatoon 2, before the extra discount is added. As such, Target’s B1G1 50% Off sale is even better than Black Friday, depending on the game.
While it is possible that these Nintendo games may be discounted during Cyber Monday, too, it’s unlikely that such discounts would be significantly larger than whatTargetis currently offering. Nintendo games simply aren’t discount often and when they are, they aren’t discounted much. ThatThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which was a Nintendo Switch launch title, is still retailing for $60 a year and a half later is evidence of that. Take advantage of these sales while they’re available.
Target’s Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off sales for Nintendo Switch games lasts through Monday, December 2.
