Fortnitestreamer Ninja may have made more than $20 million by moving from Twitch to Mixer. There had been rumors thatMixer paid Ninja around $6 millionto stream exclusively on the site but it seems that it feels that someone of Ninja’s popularity and talent should get more than twice that amount.
In a CNN report about how much money gaming streamers are making, Justin Warden, CEO of Ader, an agency that works with Ninja, said thatMixeris paying the streamer between $20-30 million for the deal. Loaded, another agency that works with Ninja, declined to comment on the numbers and Mixer also wouldn’t confirm how much it’s paying Ninja to stream games likeFortnite. However, Warden said that he has “direct knowledge of the deal” and as CEO of a company that works with Ninja, is likely to have his figures right.

$20 million isn’t a small amount of money but Mixer will be able to make all of that back in time. Fans could get afree subscription to Ninja’s Mixer channeland though this offer has now run out, there are many who will pay the $4.99 a month to support the streamer. Mixer also gets a cut when viewers purchase Embers, which can be spent on emotes. Ninja’s move to Mixer will have also brought more users to the site and they may find new streamers to watch and may purchase subscriptions for other channels, which could make a huge amount of money.
Ninja can also help Mixer and Microsoft make money by playing first-party games. The streamer was a skilled Halo player and it is likely that he will help Microsoft with the release ofHalo: Infinite, an Xbox Series X launch title. That could help Microsoft sell copies of the game and the new console and will make back that $20 million much quicker.
Ninja isn’t just making money from signing a deal with Mixer. Jessica Blevins, Ninja’s manager and wife, confirmed that one of the reasons why Ninja moved to Mixer is so that he can take more brand deals. One of these deals isNinja’s Adidas dealwhere he has his own line of merch and an Adidas sneaker. It’s unclear how much money the Adidas deal has made the streamer but with the money from the Mixer deal, Ninja isn’t hurting for dollars.
