YouTuber NukeJesus uploaded a video that explained he spent years infiltrating one of the most exclusive cheating groups inCall of Duty. Apparently, one of the ways that Ricochet investigates suspected cheaters is by taking a series of screenshots of a user’s perspective during a match. At the video’s 6:15 mark, NukeJesus revealed that one of the group’s cheats can recognize when Ricochet is about to take one of these screenshots and disable a user’s cheats in the same millisecond that a screenshot is being taken. The video shows that one user successfully avoided 44 Ricochet screenshots in one game, and NukeJesus stated that he’s heard of over 100 screenshots being avoided.
How Call of Duty Cheaters Stay Undetected
The YouTuber further claimed that six of the top 10 ranked players inModern Warfare 3Ranked Playare cheaters and members of the previously mentioned Discord, and also explained that the highest levels of RankedWarzonehave similar issues. Because anti-cheat systems and their upgrades are usually reactive in nature, cheats in most games are often ahead of these deterrents, butCall of Dutyclearly has a major issue.
Recently,Call of Dutyhas also suffered from a new in-game exploitthat allows users to fire unlimited, semi-automatic grenades from an underbarrel launcher. On February 27,Call of Duty’s development team disabled this attachment type to investigate the issue, and the attachment is still disabled at the time of writing.
In more positive news,Call of Duty: Warzone Mobilejust unveiled its release date, which falls on March 21. Android and iOS users will be able to drop in to Verdansk and Fortune’s Keep while earning XP for the same account as the one used on their console or PC.
