Animaniacs’final season will premiere next month and the Warner trio sure wants to close off their Hulu days with a bang, as the new trailer promises to deliver plenty of exciting moments for the three siblings and their perpetual co-stars, Pinky and the Brain.

Yakko, Wakko and Dot came back in 2020, only now inHulustreaming rather than the Saturday morning cartoon format that made them famous in the 90s, and although the Warner brothers changed a bit to suit current times, the series remains as meta as ever. After all, theAnimaniacsreboot’s past two seasons did fare well enough on most user and critics’ review sites, albeit the animation landscape being quite different from their heyday.

As far as season 3 is concerned, Hulu uploaded the new trailer which features plenty of Pinky and the Brain, who will find themselvesin aMad Max-style car chase, whereas the Warner brothers apparently will do their best to avoid being locked in the studio’s iconic water tower. As Dot cleverly tells Yakko,Animaniacswill keep leaning on its formula of referencing well-known pop culture items with the right amount of flair so that both parents and kids find the show enjoyable.

Yakko himself promises a first episode that’s geared toward getting audiences hooked on the rest of the season, though Hulu is yet to confirm is this one will also be 13 episodes long just like the previous two. Overall,Animaniacs’season 3 appears to keep in tunewith the same recipe of getting its cast, especially Wakko, into all kinds of “insaney” adventures.

If there is one thing that stands out in this trailer is that Pinky and the Brain seem to have an even more important role with more screen time, with Pinky particularly acting as comic relief for Brain’s continued struggles in the 2020s. All things considered, this shouldn’t be too surprising as many viewers have pointed out that the mice duo havestolen the show from theAnimaniacsin their own animated series.

In any case, even if there’s never a solo spinoff for Pinky and the Brain, it’s not as if Hulu doesn’t have other nostalgia-inducing animated shows in store as later this year the platform will be tacklingyet another revival for the belovedFuturama, regardless of potential concerns about the show’s brand of humor.

Animaniacs’final season will be available on August 05, 2025, only on Hulu.
