Netflix has confirmed the release date of its upcoming adult animated TV show based on theDragon Agevideo game series,Dragon Age: Absolution.Dragon Ageis a beloved video game franchise from BioWare, the same developers behind the immensely popularMass Effectfranchise.

TheDragon AgeTV show was first reported in June of 2022, but recently Netflix revealed key details about the upcoming series. The show is set to air on the platform December 9, and promises to be action packed with an engaging storyline. The show was developed in collaboration with BioWare.

The platform has included a wide-range of vocal talent to give voice to an inclusive cast, including Kimberly Books, who is known as the voice of Ashley Williams in theMass Effectseries. Miriam is a former slave who is forging a path working as a mercenary. With a small party of followers, Miriam seeks to steal the Circulum Infinitus, a powerful artifact fueled by blood magic. The series will take place in the mage-controlled empire of Tevinter, and the show will include mature themes such as corruption, power, and freedom. GivenDragon Age’s penchant for reintroducing past characters from previous games, it’s possible Miriam will appear in the upcomingDragon Age: Dreadwolf.
