InOne Piece, families play an extremely crucial role, and this has been quite evident in the recent arcs. Some of them rely on their political influence to ensure that things go as they wish, while others use the might of their members to make things happen.
Most of these families have existed since time immemorial, which is why they have a strong influence in theOne Pieceworld. However, not all families are equal. There are a few that stand head and shoulders above the rest.
This ranking is based on both political influence and the strength of its members.
9Donquixote Family
Current Members: Doflamingo
The Donquixote Family is among the noblest families inOne Piece. It is one of the 20 founding families of the World Government. Originally, the Donquixote Family ruled over Dressrosa but relocated to Marijoa after the formation of the World Government.
Unlike most royal families, themembers of the Donquixote Familyare kinder and more rational. Donquixote Homing, Donquixote Myosgard, and Donquixote Rosinante were all good people. Unfortunately, all of them were killed. So, Doflamingo is the only survivor of this family.
8Riku Family
Current Members: Riku Doldo III, Viola, Rebecca, Kyros.
Following the relocation of the Donquixote Family, the Riku Family took over the rulership of Dressrosa. They stayed in power until Doflamingo returned to the country and forcibly ousted Riku Dodlo III. Dressrosa remained under his rule until Luffy came along and took down the Shichibukai.
The Riku Family reclaimed their spot and followed it up with a visit to the Reverie, where Riku Doldo IIIspoke against the Shichibukai system, leading to its dissolution. The family is on good terms with the Straw Hat Pirates and may even assist them in the Final Saga.
7Vinsmoke Family
Current Members: Judge, Reiju, Ichiji, Niji, Sanji, Yonji
The Vinsmoke Family made their debut in the Whole Cake Island arc. In the distant past, the family used to rule the North Blue, but they were driven out. Currently, they are the sovereigns of the Germa Kingdom.
The Vinsmoke Family is led by Vinsmoke Judge, a ruthless individual obsessed with power. He is supported by his children, who have been genetically modified. The family has a great number of armed forces that can reduce a nation to rubble in next to no time. The Vinsmoke Family was considered a royal family and even allowed to attend the Reverie. However, they lost their status following the escapades with Big Mom.
6Nefertari Family
Current Members: Vivi
Originally, the Nefertari Family, one of the twenty families that founded the World Government. At the time, it was led by Nefertari D. Lily. She was against the practices of the organization and evenreleased the Poneglyphs intothe world.
Lily never returned to Alabasta and mysteriously disappeared. It is presumed that she was killed by Imu for her actions. Nefertari Cobra was another member of the family who died prematurely because of Imu and the Five Elders. Currently, Vivi is the only known survivor of the family.
5Kozuki Family
Current Members: Momonosuke, Hiyori, Sukiyaki
The Kozuki Family is one of the most influential families in Wano. Many years before the current timeline, the family ruled Wano and was treated with a great degree of respect by all the people. Unfortunately, Orochi and Kaido brought down Sukiyaki and Oden, which gave the country’s reins to the Kurozumi family.
The Kozuki Family was eventually restored and reinstated as the rulers of Wano by Luffy and his friends. Currently, the family is headed by Kozuki Momonosuke, who is also the Shogun of Wano.
4Neptune Family
Current Members: Neptune, Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, Manboshi, Shirahoshi
The Neptune Family is the ruling family of the Ryugu Kingdom. The family is headed by Neptune, who is thecurrent king of the Ryugu Kingdom. The Neptune Family is adored by the people because they rule justly and fairly.
They had ties with Joy Boy, which implies that the rulers of Fish-Man Island were allied with the Great Kingdom. The Neptune Family may not be the most influential, but they do have a great deal of military might.
3Charlotte Family
Current Members: Charlotte Linlin, Katakuri, Cracker, Smoothie, Prosperous, Brulee, Daifuku, Oven
Big Mom was one of the Yonko who ruled Totto Land with her kids. She was distrustful of other people, which is why her crew mainly consisted of her children. As the queen of Totto Land, Big Mom had authority over every single individual living in her territory.
To make things easier, she divided responsibilities among her children. During Sanji and Pudding’s wedding, many notable people turned up, which shows how influential the Charlotte Family really was.
2Monkey D Family
Current Members: Garp, Dragon, Luffy
The Monkey D. Family has a strong case for being the most powerful bloodline inOne Piece. All three members of this family have gone on to achieve great things. Garp became a Marine and cemented his status as the “Hero of the Marines.”
Dragon tried to walk on the same path, but left after seeing the corruption. He started the Freedom Fighters, which evolved into the Revolutionary Army. His son, Luffy, is one of the most dangerous pirates in the entire world.
1Nerona Family
Current Members: Imu
The Nerona Family is the most powerful family inOne Piece. The family participated in the war against the Ancient Kingdom. The only known member of this family is Imu, who is thesovereign of the World Government.
Imu’s powers are unknown, but they are expected to be unlike anything that fans have seen so far. It is fair to assume that the truth about the Nerona Family and Imu will be disclosed in the Final Saga.
