Despite Bethesda’s titles developing a reputation for having glitches that can change a game in various ways, one player claimed that a bug made them the richest Survivor in the Commonwealth. On the r/Fallout subreddit, a Redditor named Arkayne97 said they shot a Raider outside the Corverga Assembly Plant and looted 99,999,999 Bottlecaps from them. Considering thatthe Corvega Assembly Plantis one of the first dungeons thatFallout 4players will delve into, the enemies within usually do not carry many Caps. Arkayne97 shared another screenshot that stated their save file, called Atom, did not use anyFallout 4mods.

Though certainFallout 4enemies have been known to drop some unexpected loot, some players responded to the post with differing opinions. While someFalloutfans made jokes about how they would spend over 99 million Caps in the Commonwealth, others debated whether any console commands were used to manipulate the game and change the amount of Bottlecaps an enemy can have. Some players also pointed out that Bethesda’s reputation for bugs and glitches in their games can make underflow glitches possible on any item. It is unclear which version ofFallout 4Arkayne97 played at the time of writing.

In response to some reported problems with the next-gen update, Bethesda announced that it will releasea patch forFallout 4on all platforms on May 13. Only time will tell which issues end up being addressed.
