14Shikamaru Nara (Naruto)
While Shikamaru gets his act together later on in the series, there’s no denying the fact that he’s easilyone of the laziest charactersinNarutoearly on. Given the competition he had, it’s honestly quite amazing that Shikamaru managed to be so lazy.
However, his massive intellect allowed him to get by most situations without too many issues. After the death of his sensei, though, Shikamaru wastes no time in showing just how motivated he can get when it really counts.

Bleachmight not have ended on the best note, but the anime definitely had its highlights. In addition to its riveting action and interesting premise, the sheer number of interesting characters present in the show is indicative of this.
Kon is one such character, who was mainly integrated for the purposes of comic relief in. This Mod Soul ends up taking Ichigo’s place when he’s out in his Shinigami form and is quite a lazy character, especially compared to the other characters who risk themselves fighting evil spirits.

Aizawa is another character who falls into the “lazy genius” category. This might seem like it would make him unfit to be a teacher, but this character is definitely quite effective in his job as an instructor to a bunch of boisterous children.
He can get strict in the blink of an eye, even though he might be seeking out his sleeping bag more often than not. However, when a situation escalates,Aizawa is always the first person trying to fix things as soon as possible. He puts in the effort when it really matters.

Bleachis a show filled to the brim with lazy characters, and Rangiku is no exception here. Not only is this character a slacker for the most part, but she also loves to drink and just have fun instead of taking things seriously.
That being said, Rangiku doesn’t shy away from showing her feeling, such as when Gin’s betrayal left her sad and confused. She might not be the most active character inBleach, but her abilities make it pretty clear why she’s one of the most respected Shinigami in Soul Society.

Spike Spiegel isone of the most iconic anime characters of all time. His natural coolness and lackadaisical behavior give the impression that this character doesn’t like doing anything at all, and just does the bare minimum to get by daily.

8Usopp (One Piece)
Usopp has developed quite a bit during his time as a member of the Straw Hat Pirates. However, there was a time when this goofball was solely a comic relief character, and didn’t really bring much else to the table.
It didn’t help that he wasn’t the most motivated character around, often preferring to slack off instead of actually making some contributions. Thankfully, Usopp has finally turned around and has now become one of the most valuable members of the crew.

The Arrancar are some of the most intriguing antagonists inBleach. Watching them go toe-to-toe with the strongest captains inBleachmakes for a great time, with the Espada certainly proving their worth as Aizen’s strongest warriors.
Coyote Starrk reveals himself as the strongest Espada, with his disinterested and lazy personality masking a good heart and a ton of power to boot. His fight against Shunsui is a blast, with the 1st Division Captain showing exactly why he deserves to be in such a high position.
6Snorlax (Pokemon)
Pokemonis the one of the most valuable and popular IPs around, featuring a bunch of iconic creatures that have become legendary in their own right. One suchPokemon from the first generationwho has become legendary in his own right is Snorlax.
This massive Pokemon can easily smash through its enemies if need be. Unfortunately, Snorlax is also extremely lazy and prefers sleeping in inconvenient situations as opposed to actually doing something productive.
5Sloth (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)
A character whose name itself is indicative of his personality, Sloth is a Homunculus that is pretty annoying to deal with inFullmetal Alchemist. The character can be a huge pain for his enemies when he uses his powers to their fullest; however, that’s not often the case.
