Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2leaks have been appearing consistently in recent months, and the latest one highlights some of the killstreaks that will supposedly be featured within the game. These include a Cluster Spike,Fuel Bomb, Smoke Airdrop, Thermobaric Strike, and the UAV. However, fans can expect to see many more streaks unveiled before release, asCall of Dutygames usually provide a good variety of streaks to choose from.
While some of these killstreaks are interesting touches on classic streaks, such as the Smoke Airdrop, it would be nice to see some iconic killstreaks brought back in their original forms. With some of the best streaks coming from theBlack Opsseries and others coming straight fromModern Warfare, it would be great to see Infinity Ward pulling the best options from every game to deliver a series’ best lineup withCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.

Classic Call of Duty Streaks That Should Feature in MW2
WithCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2seemingly set tobring back maps like Highrise, it makes sense to pull streaks from the beloved 2009 game as well. One option is the Pave Low, a stronger attack helicopter with two miniguns instead of one that is twice as effective as a normal helicopter. Alongside this powerful streak, it would be great to see the Harrier Strike return as well. Not only did Harrier Strikes provide two bombing runs, but after the bombs were dropped, a Harrier would stick around and gun down enemies.
Alongside these mid-tier killstreaks, it would be great to see Infinity Ward revive its versions of the Chopper Gunner and AC-130. The Chopper Gunner’s deadly shots helped many gamers secure their Tactical Nukes back in 2009, while everyone who playedthe originalModern Warfare 2will likely remember the terrifying dialogue where a soldier shouts “enemy AC-130 above!” Even if the kill requirements are made higher due to the sheer power of these streaks, they deserve to make a comeback.
Infinity Ward should not be afraid to pull killstreaks from theCall of Dutygames it has not made itself, though. For instance, the Swarm fromCall of Duty: Black Ops 2is seen as one of the greatest streaks of all time, and it features drones flying through the sky and crashing into players as they spawn in. If those on the enemy team cannot get into a building, they are guaranteed to die, with each Swarm providing about 20 kills if the opposing team does not rage-quit the match.
While drones have become increasingly common in modern militaries,Infinity Wardmay want something a bit more grounded withModern Warfare 2’s streak lineup. As such, Treyarch’s deadly Attack Dog killstreak could be worth including.Call of Duty: Vanguardrecently had an Attack Dog streak despite being a non-Treyarch title, and the Guard Dog killstreak saw Infinity Ward experimenting with the concept in the divisiveCall of Duty: Ghosts. Seeing enraged Dogs sprint through a multiplayer map can be horrifying, so it would make for another good addition to the lineup.
Obviously, there are other streaks that would be nice to see, like theJuggernaut suitand Advanced UAV. Considering that these both appeared inCall of Duty: Modern Warfare, though, they seem very likely to return. Classic streaks ripped straight from older games would be more surprising, yet many deserve to come back. The originalModern Warfare 2had a good balance between AI and player-controlled streaks, so the newMW2should strive to do the same by grabbing some of the best options from older games.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2launches on October 28 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
