God of War(2018) did a very thorough job of exploring Norse mythology, yet some players might feel that it was not quite thorough enough. This is because it only allows players to visit six ofthe nine realms of Norse mythology, with Svartalfheim, Vanaheim, and Asgard all off-limits to players. Thankfully, however, the same cannot be said of the game’s 2022 sequel,Godof War Ragnarok.

Unlike its predecessor,God of War Ragnarokallows players to visit all nine realms, as well as Yggdrasil, which is sometimes referred to as the realm between realms and is widely regarded as having been at the very center of the Norse cosmos. Sadly, players won’t have access to every realm right away, though will have gotten a taste of all nine of them by the time they have completed the game’s main story.
