Even during the tutorial ofOnce Human, players will notice their energy and hydration will begin to decrease. As these continue to go down, the character won’t function properly, being overall weaker and not able to handle the various threats of the world properly.

On top of dealing with the monsters of the world, players will also need to have a steady supply of food and water that is safe to consume, otherwise they will greatly lose Sanity and lower their max health. The challenge of staying fed and well-hydrated only increases whenplaying with friendsand having more mouths to feed. Cooking food and boiling water will be the first and main ways players will manage these systems; here’s how to do both.
