Minecraft Dungeonsfeatures a nonlinear approach, allowing players to take on levels in any order they choose. That said, the Fiery Forge and theDesert Temple must be unlockedby completing other levels first. As such, players will likely be well leveled and well equipped by the time they reach the Fiery Forge.
This will work in their favor, asMinecraft Dungeons' Fiery Forge is home to one of its more difficult bosses, the Redstone Monstrosity. This is beast is sure to give players a run for their emeralds, and may take a few tries to take down. Fortunately, there are some tricks to make defeating it much easier.

The boss itself is visually very reminiscent to theRedstone Golem, the boss of the previous area, but the two enemies behave very differently. Because of this, players will certainly need to take a different approach to fighting this boss and should carefully study its moves.
The Redstone Monstrosity has three main attacks. The first attack is a simple groundpound, which hits all players in an area around the impact point. The boss telegraphs this move heavily, so it should be easy to see and avoid. Next, the Redstone Monstrosity is capable of summoning magma cube like enemies (this means thatsoul builds work well for this boss) which roll towards the player and deal damage. These aren’t particularly dangerous but in large groups they can burn down health quickly and block the players movement. This move can be recognized when the Redstone Monstrosity digs his fists into the ground. This is also the only time when it is relatively safe to engage in melee.
Finally, the boss also can lob a volley of explosive projectiles which will deal damage in an AoE and toss players around. This attack is difficult to avoid, but can be dodged with the Boots of Swiftness or blocked with the Totem of Protection. Aside from this, there are also many ways the player can deal damage to the Redstone Monstrosity. Melee attacks are best reserved for when the beast issummoning allies, and ranged attacks work well but are limited by how much ammunition the player has.
The best way to deal damage to this boss and ultimately defeat it is to use the pillars found throughout the map. Earlier in the level players will have overloaded similar pillars, causing a fiery explosion to erupt outwards in four directions from them. The same will happen here if the player uses the pillar, and these columns of flame deal a lot of damage to the boss. Avoiding his attacks, luring him into these explosion radii, and setting off the columns is the best way totake this boss down.
